OK, now for the ranting screed: The prices are WAY too high for the quality received. I splurged on a more expensive log cabin so I could have an in-room jacuzzi and a fireplace. Discovered that we had no hot water at 11:30 at night! The included meals are necessary (nowhere to eat but the Coolfont restaurant) but the buffet and entrees from the menu uninspired and sometimes inedible food (undercooked potatos, oysters frozen solid). When we complained, the staff were always really pleasant and tried to help. They moved us to a "chalet" for the second night, with working hot water - it was clean, but there were still crumbs on the tables. Pieces fell off the jacuzzi jets when we used them. When I checked out the public jacuzzi next to the pool, it was a disgusting murkey greenish brown. How long did they have to leave that without checking the chemicals for that much algae to grow? This resort would be acceptable with these flaws if they cut their prices by 50 percent - or it would be fantastic if they paid attention to details, fixed their infrastructure, etc. Then it would be worth the prices they charged then.

We just returned from a 6 day- all inclusive trip(4/13-4/19) at the RADISSON. To begin with, I have 2 young kids (6&10). The childrens' club that they advertised totally sucked. Last year we went away and the kids loved the kids club so much at another place that they stayed there all day. This year my kids went 1 day and they were bored. The listing of activities were terrible. A beautiful day outside and they were inside playing boring games. One example what they call shoot out where the kids get in line to shoot a basketball into a milk crate cut out to replace a hoop??. There were a ton of kids there and none of them were in the kids club. First night we get there we are supposed to get a room with 2 double beds. They tell us there are no room left with double beds, but they will give us a roll away bed for the night and switch us the next day. 9 pm rolls around and they tell us."sorry there is nothing we can do for. the kids will have to sleep on the floor" . only because i argued with the manager and told him that i would make it my mission the next day to call corporate management the next day and have some ones job for this. i did get a room with 2 double beds at 10 pm, only after screaming loud enough. the next problem is that you have to wake up and be on line at 730am to book a reservation at one of the restaurants. YES WAITING ON LINE AT 730 IN THE MORNING TO BOOK A RESTAURANTs. and if you dont you have to eat at the buffet. the restaurants were ok . the next thing was morning coffee. they have a coffee maker in the lobby. i go to get coffee and they are out of milk at 7am. they were lazy with the basics like that. most nights only one bar was open. waiting in line for drinks by the pool. the people who worked there were very freindly. nightly entertainment was just ok. the pool area was beautiful. my kids did have a good time with me,but if i wanted to be with just adults that was not happening(KIDS CLUB).i always make it a point to enjoy myself on vacation no matter what. FOR THE 3 GRAND I SPENT I THOUGHT I COULD OF GOTTEN BETTER FOOD AND AMENITIES. THE OTHER THING I THOUGHT WAS WEIRD WAS THE FACT THAT THEY TOLD US THE RESTAURANTS WERE BOOKED WHEN WE TRIED TO GET A RESERVATION. ON THE NIGHTS THAT WE DID GET RESERVATIONS WE COULD SEE THAT THERE WERE A DOZEN TABLES OPEN FOR 45 MINUTES OR MORE AND THEY WERE TELLING PEOPLE THAT THEY WERE BOOKED. MY GUESS IS THAT THEY DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM USING THE RESTAURANTS SO THAT GUESTS WILL USE THE BUFFETS WHICH ARE MORE PROFITABLE FOR THEM. out door snacks? none to be found. every time you get a drink you get a bill and you have to sign it with your name, room number and signature even though you are on an all inclusive plan. THIS BECAME VERY ANNOYING EVEN IF YOU WANTED A SODA , you had to sign. no refrigerators in the room

I would definitely recommend the Radisson for those of us who want an affordable, low-key, beautiful getaway. It was hard to leave.

Next door to the Radisson was a Wyndam, the two hotels were connected by a LONG hallway w/ little shops and at the end was a Casino. It was a large Casino, but not a lot of action going on inside. My fiance and I snuck into the Wyndam from the Casino and walked around. It seemed nice, I think I would have preferred to stay there then the Radisson.

This is by no means a "Foofie" spa such as those typically found in New York City. It is a resort for getting "Back To Basics". It is certainly not pretentious and the excellent quality of service is not based on what you are wearing nor the Bentley by which you were chauffeured in.

The brochure and web site showed cozy, pretty rooms with cheerful quilts on beds and tasteful furnishings. We wanted to approach the front desk staff and say, "Where are these rooms? We want to stay there!" Because we had paid almost $300 a night, we felt we did not get the high quality accommodation that price demands.

When it comes down to it, our honeymoon was a great one. The resort was spectacular. If you can get past some of the dungy looking problems inside the hotel, it is a great place to stay. With the white beach, clear water, 3 pools, 2 jaccuzis, and many many more complimentary items, our stay was a fun and exciting experience. To finish off our trip, the Radisson supplied a complimentary bottle of champagne for our honeymoon, which we took down to the beach our last night there (which happened to be my wife’s birthday), pulled 2 chairs down to the waterline and gazed into the stray ocean night. A wonderful way to end a wonderful trip.

Upon arrival we waited 20 minutes to check in. After finally checking in we had a 4th floor room on the west wing of the hotel. We dragged our luggage up two floors and when we tried the room key it didn't work and there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door? So back to the from lobby to get a down graded room, food. We did not get the all inclusive because we did not feel it was worth it. Breakfast buffet is a free for all. Beach is nice, location is great, pool is ok, not heated so if you go there from Nov to April water might be cold.

Loved my stay here. Only hard staff rudeness once.
