Close to many shops, restaurants, and straw market. Hotel does not have access to Atlantis. Passes not sold at property. Housekeeping surcharge of 3.25 per person per night. Energy surcharge of 5.00 per room per night. Effective January 1, 2007: The US Department of Homeland Security will require all US citizens who travel outside the Continental US to carry a valid US Passport. This will Include all travel to & from Canada, Mexico and Caribbean." Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.

We stayed at the RIU Palace next to the Atlantis, the location is great, the ocean beautiful and warm, but our hotel was awful. The old RIU was not what the reservation lady told us, they are going to completely redo the RIU in August. So if you have reservations, do not go until they finish, the restaurants are fine. They do not have but three, and sometimes they are closed. The staff is friendly but lazy. The Rooms are awful, they are old, and the air condition sometimes don't work. But, the location is great, and the Atlantis is next door. I would just wait until they finish the remodeling then go back, but if you go you will be disappointed. Not worth the money until they get it finished. I am just telling the truth, not sugar coating it.
