The construction was not a bother, but it did not seem to be progressing as it should. The lighting in the room was minimal in that there was only one lamp whereas there should have been three - one on either side of the bed and another on the desk. The cleaning staff did a good job of the room. The desk staff were very helpful.

Ther was "everthing in plafe". However facilities were worn and e.g Sauna facilities not up to date. Service was friendly & good. Breakfast was slightly below my expectations.

Old hotel and definitely not a 4 star anymore. Close to train station so transport is reasonable. I advise anyone pay a little more and stay in the harbor area close to everything.

On the last day we wanted to keep the room till 2 P.M. The reception told us that it is possible if I pay 20 Aus dollars per hour afer 12 noon. I find it is too much this rate. I have stayed in many hotels in the world, I did not find such things. On tne arival day the room was not ready till 3 P.m. although 2 P.m. is the check-in time.

This hotel is a ways from the center of Sydney but it is only a 5 minute walk to Central Station where you can catch a train to pretty much anywhere including downtown or to the Airports. There are also a few great restaurants and bottle shops if you walk up the hill on Albion Street. The concierge was extremely helpful in providing assistance for certain events I wanted to do while in Sydney. They gave me details and options for activities I was interested in and slipped the info under my door if I wasn't around. My room (executive suite) was very spacious and the bathroom was small, but very clean. I would also strongly recommend Brannigan's restaurant which is within the hotel as it was one of my favorite meals in Sydney. Overall, I'd say it was a very nice experience. I would recommend it to anyone traveling in Sydney because the staff if very friendly and helpful and since Central Station can get you anywhere you want to go.

This hotel had been recently been renovated before we visited, so I think most of what the other reviewer has to say is quiet out of date now. We arrived at the hotel early morning after flying in from the US. We asked for early check-in and the h

Not too bad For the money that we paid it was OK. very close to the train station is a definite plus. Even though our room was on the 10th floor, you can hear the traffic.
