Tourist’s Dream Within easy walking distance of the Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House, we thanked our good fortune that we booked this hotel. Quick walk to Circular Quay for views, ferries, bus tours, restaurants & shopping. Walk to Botanical Gardens and Museum of Sydney. Saved money by booking a two-bedded room so that our 16- and 20-year-old daughters could stay with us. They also enjoyed the fantastic breakfast buffets, easy internet access, and friendliness & helpfulness of staff. Traveler's tip on local attractions Do the Opera House tour - just show up and buy tickets. But be sure to book for the opera before you go. Do the Bridge Climb even if you don’t like heights - fantastic! With your swimsuit & towel, take the Explorer bus, a hop-on-hop-off bus that gives you a great tour and allows you to swim at beautiful beaches along the way.

INCREDIBLY DISAPOINTING!!! My family and I save all year to splurge on an expensive luxury holiday for one week each year. Upon arrival at the Marriott it SEEMED to live up to its reputation as a luxury hotel. I was absolutely devastated upon seeing the size of the rooms. We had been given a room on a smoking floor – which we guessed immediately after the elevator doors opened – it reeked. When we queried this we were told we would have to wait for a non-smoking room to be available and that we had a corner room which was actually slightly bigger than the other rooms (I would hate to be caged in them if they were smaller than the one we stayed in). I could have cried. I have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms at a variety of star rating levels. This accommodation was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The price is astronomical – which I don’t mind paying if you get value for money – which we definitely didn’t. If you like cramped accommodation and paying in excess of the actual value give this place a go. If you are looking for true luxury and a decent deal then look elsewhere!

Nice enough hotel but none of the frills and little extras you would expect from a 5-star hotel.

Good hotel but leisure facilities a disappointment Would recommend a day trip to the Blue Mountains with AAT King's. It was a fun filled day and the scenery was stunning. The driver, Steve, was first class. Would also recommend a trip to Doyle's restaurant, via the ferry. Great food, great location and what a view.

I was just recently in Sydney visiting a friend of mine and I stayed at the Harbour Marriott and let me tell you this place was seriously gorgeous & luxurious. My friend Daisy had referred me to this Hotel and so I took her recommendation prior to the trip and she did not steer me wrong. I was especially pleased with the staff of the hotels, how ever so friendly and thoughtful. Kinda hard for me to understand Australians sometimes so some of the staff did not mind repeating things for me 1,2,3, or even 4 times. The had a spa so I had to take advantage of that. The room I had was the One Bedroom Suite and this room came with an amazing view of the Opera House & Sydney Harbour Bridge. Nightlife in Sydney is the best while there I was invited to atleast 5 parties so the nightlife is on and happening. I gave this Hotel 5 stars, which means this property was excellent, and believe me it was. Totally recommendable, and, I will definately be staying here again!!!

Hotel was well located for the opera house and the bridge. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The pillows were soft and plentiful.

I have stayed here multiple times, starting before it was renamed Marriott from the Rennaissance. The rooms on the city side are slightly smaller than those facing the Opera House, but are quite comfortable, and could not be called small. Those facing the Opera House have an incredible view of that building, as well as Circular Quay, the harbor, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. While not super-luxurious, all rooms are certainly well appointed, with fantastic beds and baths. If at all possible, upgrade to the Executive Floors. The Executive/Concierge Lounge is possibly the finest in the Marriott brand, staffed by a truly caring group of multi-national employees. Australia is getting expensive for Yank's, but this hotel is well priced for the services.
