Stellar Hotel

The receptionist who was on duty when we checked in (Tanya) was very nice and very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. However, the young male who was on duty in the weekend barely made eye contact with us as we came and went from the hotel. We liked the spaciousness of our room and the fact that it had double windows as we were on a very busy street. The room was clean and modern and was a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. The kitchen facilities were also appreciated. We also liked having a safe to use (at cost of $2.50 per day). It was close to the city, so we were able to walk to a lot of places. The cafe on the ground floor had great coffee. We also really appreciated being able to check in early and then leave our luggage there on the day we checked out. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Stellar.

Great location and service Be sure to check out the giant flying foxes (aka bats) at the nearby Botanical Gardens (free!) There are also a lot of interesting birds.

I liked everything specially the kitchen it was beautiful and how they made the beds and it was near darling habour

We really enjoyed staying at BW Stellar Suites. We are surprised we have not been able to find it as a recommendation in any of the tour books. We thought the location was very good. The rooms were larger than we thought they would be and very clean. The service staff was great and exceedingly helpful.

Jan 30, 2006 Stayed 1 night for cruise ship layover. All bathroom fixtures completely new - shower only-no tub..Excellent staff very helpful on nearby tourist sights and recommendations- zoo , skytower, parks etc. Limited eateries in the immeadiate area i.e. more like street/patio eateries than restuarants of North America. Hotel exterior is subdued and not of the glossy North American imposing frontages.. but don't be deterred, the hotel is fine and considering the higher prices of most Sydney hotels, the B. W. Stellar Suites is a good value hotel. The location is south of the central area park but north of the train station..the area is a business district with other hotels nearby. cheers Uncle D - Kingston Ontario Canada

Great hotel for the price and good location.

June 20, 2008 Lift is extremely old and noisy, almost woke me up early of every morning during my stay. On line hotel rate has fluctuated too much especially toward the week before we checked in. For example, hotel.com.au offered only SGD 198 in early June - SGD 30 lower than rate of one month in-advance booking.. no merit for early bird. Having said that , a right choice for budget traveller given to apartment orientated service.. provided you could have booked it on right timing !!

Just what we needed. Good location, very large room with all we needed including the kitchen sink!

+Nice room design, kitchenet and central position -I was on the top floor, and the noise from the elevator engine room was very loud, specially at night.
