I first stayed at the Harbourview in 2002 with my husband in a room without a harbourview. The room was fine, but certainly nothing special. I visited again in 2006 with my husband and two sons. We already knew that the room was large enough to fit us all comfortably, but I was most surprised to discover that they had not updated the 1970's style bathroom. We had a fabulous view of the harbour on our second visit, so maybe this was enough to make up for the tight squeeze in the small and unrenovated bathroom. Of course, if you are looking for a hotel that is only a minute from North sydney station and not much further to the central business district in North Sydney then this hotel will suit you.

This Hotel looks out across Lavender Bay, over Luna Park and to the Harbour Bridge. The view is spectacular. Service at reception was great, and housekeeping kept the place tidy for the five nights I was there. It is located over the top of a railway station, so access into Syndey Central is easy.

The room, facilities, service and staff helpfulness exceeded expectations. Our exchange student was captivated by the harbour views. The great rates enabled us to experience more of Sydney than we would have otherwise been able to experience given our very tight budget.

I just spent a week at this hotel, and found it to be very comfortable. It's not new, and the rooms aren't fancy, but the view is marvelous and the location is convenient. The lobby, restaurant and parking facilities are nice, and offer good service....

This is an excellent base for anyone visiting Sydney. The views over the harbour are superb but do ask for a room with a harbour view so as not to be disappointed. The proximity to trains and ferries for access to the city can't be beaten. the rooms are extremely comfortable and quite a good size.

Overall pretty nice. Part of the view was lovely (we ended up on the side of the building and could only just see the guaranteed view) and the service was friendly. However some parts of the room seemed not 100% clean. The lastminute rates make this room a good deal, but I wouldnt want to pay full price for this hotel room.

The bathroom had a nearly full length class window on the side towards the bedroom, with a white blind to pull down and cover it, this still allowed a sillouette view of anyone using the toilet when the bathroom light was switched on, which was rather disconcerting
