Mercure Sydney Airport Hotel

Excellent rooms and friendly service. Would higly recommend to anyone who is stopping over in Sydney. Will consider staying here again.

We had some trouble with their airport shuttle bus service - very slow - but otherwise very good value for money

Arrived at 11 pm. Long line to check in. AC in first room totally not working so we switched rooms. AC in second room not working either (it was nearly 80 degrees in the room). We were too tired to switch rooms again so we slept with the window open which was not restful. Told staff in the morning while checking out...no apology. Hotel is decent but tired around the edges, like a lower level Marriott. Certainly not worth the price premium we paid.

It was unexpected as the outside gives a false impression. the room and facilities are at a good quality.

Food was very good, and the food service well organized. This was fortunate, as there are no restaurants or shopping places within walking distance. Location a bit remote, forcing me to take cabs at night when I prefer to walk or take public transport. I waited 35 minutes for the transfer bus from the Domestic Air terminal around midday. For an up-market hotel, it was satisfactory but not outstanding. My Mac e-mail did not work properly on the hotel ISP system.

For an airport hotel this one is very good. It is comfortable and clean and not affected very much by noise from air traffic. The restaurant is rather exclusive and expensive but the bar meals are reasonable value.

Hi, Only a couple of points. 1. The clock was NOT working. 2. We went to the Bar and the Menu showed some drinks (including Martini's were made using Bombay Sapphire Gin ). We ordered a dry martini and noted Gordins gin was being used. We asked the barman and he said that was the best they had. We asked then that were the drinks the same price, he said YES they were regardless of the brand. I would suggest you change your cocktail menu. Thanks

Unfortunately the room was far too small for our needs. The porta-cot was not in the room upon our arrival. Their was not enough coffee, sugar or milk in the room. I dont expect we will stay here again.
