This hotel is grossly misrepresented as a 3 star hotel. It is a one star at best. Very dated and dirty. I checked in and checked out in less than 30 minutes. The staff was very polite and set me up in another Mercure Hotel which was fine. The manager acknowledged that the property was in severe need of an update. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was large but the not clean. Each day, the tea, coffee and dirty towels were not replaced. The front desk customer service was good.

All Review Photos The accommodations were terrific. We had a two-bedroom/two-bathroom suite with a balcony. The top floor had a fabulous view of Darling Harbor. The rooms were very luxurious, with marble finish and high-quality linens. We also...

Excellent Hotel really enjoyed our stay there. There is only one thing, this maybe a small thing for others but being from HK, mum wanted to watch the Chinese New on SBS in the morning but the TV reception in our room was very bad.

It really depends on what you're looking for. My wife and I just wanted something cheap and affordable. Cheap looking is what we got for a high price. I can't fault the fact that's ideally situated with a short walk to the Darling Harbour etc, but for the price we paid, we were disgusted in it's level of cleanliness, especially the bathrooms. There was a daylight robbery on one of the shops about 20 meters away with the whole street crawling in Police. Although it's close, it's apparently in one of the baddest / toughest neighbourhoods in Sydney.

The room is large with a big balcony which is good for a relaxing morning breakfast and reading of papers. The trees outside provide good shade and it is nice to hear birds singing in the morning. The only poor facility is the old lifts which are noisy when the doors opened and shut and this is especially obvious in the night.

Overall, it is a good hotel except for the speed of the internet.
