This place was perfect for us. We love being near the beach, restaurants and shops, but we also like a quiet environment. The restaurants and beach were exactly 2and 1/2 blocks away, so we could easily walk there, but we were out of the hustle and bustle., Also, we took the bus into downtown Sydney, directly to circular quay and the Opera House, and the stop was 1/2 block away. It was close to everything, but still quiet and clean. The service was good and unobtrusive. The room had refrigerator, microwave, coffee facilities, etc. This place is great.

I have stayed here before, (on more than one occasion), and will stay here again. The staff are friendly and most helpful, the service is excellent and it is in a great location.

Hotel staff very friendly and accomodating with professionalism to match 5 star hotels. Breakfast included and the way it was handled was a huge benefit and let us sleep in when we liked w/o missing a meal! We spent our first week in another location, so being able to do laundry in our apartment was a huge bonus. The lanai was also a pleasant surprise. Not a luxurious hotel, but a great value!!

This is a very comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. One has the feeling as would live in a real comfortable flat. The area is nice: near the beach, important shops, restaurants are very close. The downtown is easlily available by direct frequent bus service. I really appreciated the kindness of the personnel who immediately arranged the very early check-in at 6 a.m.!

The apartments are located close to the beach with a short stroll along a street of interesting cafes. The entrance and low rise nature of the complex are attractive. We were appreciative of the early check in and late check out at the Medina as we were moving in from an hotel in the city and then departing Australia on a late flight. However, we were very disappointed with the quality of the room. It was quite spacious with a nice balcony over the main street which could be a little noisy but quite interestiong for people and car watching. The rooms were very shabby and the bathroom towels bordering on threadbare. This came as quite a shock as we had been staying in the CDB for a cheaper nightly rate but with far superior facilities. Overall quite disappointing.

Ideally located for beach stay. Close to airport and Alexandria factory outlet shopping and only a short drive to Surry Hills etc. Can access all local beaches (to Bondi) by foot via the coastal walk which is relatively easy. If staying for more than 2 nights would consider apartment rather than studio. Although studios are comfortable they are more like motel type rooms

I arrived early in the morning and was able to check straight into my room which was great! Everything satisfactory (although rooms not as 'executive' as I expected, but functional). Location and facilities good, and I would say good value for money.

Being a facility that is utilised by a large number of people involved in the horse racing industry the need for TVN or Sky Channel is imperative.

Can't remember the room number we were assigned, but it was the 2-bedroom apartment with the large outside deck. Our visit was during winter, so we couldn't take full advantage of it, but it would be fabulous in the warmer weather. The apartment was roomy. I appreciated the fact that the kitchen was well appointed. I didn't personally see the pool, which is the only reason I didn't give the facilities the full 5. But, my children seemed to enjoy it. It was certainly nice that it was indoors so that they could use it in the colder weather. Nice location, just a few blocks from the beach. Many, many restaurants on the street, from coffee places, to casual restaurants to nicer sit-down options. The post office is just around the corner. Very pleased with the property.

Our room was a 1-bedroom suite with a nice balcony. We like the natural air, but had to suffer from the main air-conditioner unit (shared by other people running their A/) -- it was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other on the balcony. And unfortunately, our room had a rotten odor of sour beer, apparently in the carpet. So, closing the glass door made it reek in there. We did check-in on January 1st, so we could give them benefit of a doubt. Staff was mostly helpful and friendly, except that they kicked us out at 11am sharp, even after they accepted our request for late checkout of 1130am earlier that morning. Very strange. Also, the pool is great for lap swimming, but it is indoors and not for general hanging out. With that said, the hotel is only 2 blocks from the beach. So, a mixed review. I am, however, optimistic about the property in general, and would certainly consider staying there again.
