Excellent room with all facilities I needed. Staff were friendly and courteous. Location was great for me.

I stayed at the mantra bond street during april 2009. The room was gorgeous, but might I add that the service is terrible. After my stay, how I was treated was incredibly rude including the hotels manager not returning my phone calls, and the receptionist dealing with me in what seemed the rudest way she knew how after a pair of my glasses were stolen from my room. This has also happened to a friend of mine. There are definatley much better hotels in Sydneys CBD.

Basically this serviced apartment provided nearly all the facilities of a first class hotel, including (one) restaurant and Room Service, with the additional freedom to self-cater, do own laundry and entertain friends. Also excellent small roof-top open-air pool, spa, gymnasium and barbecue facility.

When we arrived the room wasnt ready and we were told we would get a phone call on our mobiles when it was. We still had not heard by 4.30pm so we rang the hotel only to be told the room had been ready for a while. The reception staff were cold and unwelcoming and it was more like a hostel type of service rather than a 5 star hotel. There was one male receptionist who was nice but the girls were not friendly. There was no bath robes or bath matt in the bathrooms. There were people smoking and drinking beer around the pool and spa area. The tv in the bedroom didnt work and we had to wait ages to get someone in to fix it. Overall I wouldnt go back, which is a shame as the location was perfect.

My husband and I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment with our two teenage sons. Both bedrooms had queen beds. There was a pull-out couch in the living room, as well as a tv (second tv in one bedroom), and small dining table. All rooms were extremely small, similar to what you would find in downtown London. There was a modestly equipped kitchenette attached to the living room. The single three piece bathroom had an oddly designed shower that often resulted in water on the bathroom floor. The stacked washer/dryer were also in the bathroom. However, the location for tourism and shopping was superb. It is right in the middle of the main shopping street. We walked to everything, the aquarium, the opera house, the Rocks area, etc. The staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. The room was spotless and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and cupboard space adequate. We would stay there again.

It’s OK. Location is excellent. The rooms are fine. Cleaning staff are not working in a customer friendly manner. The appartment is perfect for 2 people not more than than. Rollawaybeds/sofabeds could be more confortable.

The apartment/room was spacious and clean with good facilities except that the bathroom was small. Location is good for shopping and sightseeing but we found that it was quite noisy on a Saturday night.

The quality of the hotel is quite ok. Clean, friendly, educated people. But there is a problem with the reception team: part - not all of them - are professionaly week: i didin't lost a flight for minutes:the reception forgot to wake me up. When i asked why, they told me they had my name...someone scratch it...and they forgot. And that was it. I think that an hotel of that quality of rooms - the only problem with my room was the absence of double windows - should have less so very young people at the conciergerie and art the reception.
