I hated the cleanliness. I had a non-smoking room that smelled like someone had smoked 100s of cigerattes in. The vent didn't work and the bathroom was grimy. The office kindly let me use a different room that was a king suite at the same price as the room I was just in. That caught my attention. The location is good with some nice views. The value surprised me which is why i rated it as good!!

I recently spent six nights at this beautiful hotel. I had a lovely corner room, facing the botanical gardens and the harbour. The king size bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, and the housekeeping was excellent. Entire staff was pleasant, and the location was perfect for walks to Circular Quay, the Opera House, and shopping in Sydney. The Treasury Building is georgeous, as is the entire hotel. A Great Hotel!

Intercontinental was the ideal location for two senior women. The view out our hotel window was breathtaking. We felt very safe out walking in the area. We made good use of the harbor facilities and restaurants in the area. We thrilled to the excitement of a concert at the Opera House. We made very good use of the Food court in the APM building across the street. I'd go back in an instant.

This is an elegant hotel with grace & wonderful ambience offering a truly sumptuous & refined environment to the guest. Hotel Inter-Continental sits in a quieter part of the City and a short walk in either direction will take you to the Opera House, Circular Quay, Botanical Gardens, Museums or the Sydney Art Gallery. The rooms are finished in keeping with the style and mood of the Victorian era & the atmosphere of the old Treasury Building. Artworks throughout depict early Sydney. I would recommend it to friend, but as it is an expensive hotel, only to those who could afford it.
