The actual room was surprisingly 2 levels. There were only 3 short stairs, but I've never seen that before. Even though the monorail was literally right outside our window you don't hear it at night because the monorail doesn't run all night. I think it stops at 10 pm. The TV actaully had more than 4 channels, it has 12. The bellhops were nice. The desk clerks were nice enough to tell you not to convert your travelers checks there, but to go down the street b.c it is less expensive.

Good and spacious room. The location is convenient and near to places of interest. Especially it is near to Chinatown as we are chinese. We really enjoyed.

The overall stay at the hotel was nice. The room was a bit small and I asked for a king bed and got a queen.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn (Darling Harbour) on the 16th August 2008. I had a drinks night to attend at Star City, so the Hotel was located in a good spot. just a short walk, about 10minutes to where i had to go. I stayed in a (Superior) room for 1 night, the room was quite big, it had everythin i needed. Fast broadband was easy to connect and use. Bed was a good size and comfy and bathroom was a good size. Had a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and also a wardrobe with plenty of room. I only stayed here for 1 night and the room was well presented and had everything i needed for the 1 night i stayed I'd recommend this to anyone, who would like to stay close to Darling Harbour. Staff were very helpful.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful, the rooms were cleaned very well every day and the buffet breakfast was substantial. If I was asked to make a complaint about the hotel, I would have to say the pillows were very hard, although I did complain and 4 other different pillows were brought to the room for me to try. But I have to say I really enjoyed my stay. The lobby was airy and spacious and the bar seating area was comfortable. Our room also had complimentary bottled water and fruit every day which was a nice touch.

The hotel location is great! I have backache problems, and the mattress is old,and too soft. This was a problem and prevent me to sleep well.

I stayed in three different rooms in this hotel. One of the rooms was right next to the monorail. However, I barely heard the trains go by.

The hotel was located near Chinatown and Paddy's Market. However, while near a monorail station, it was neither near a bus nor train station and therefore travelling was quite a chore. We had to walk quite a distance to the nearest bus or train station. In addition, the ammenities in the hotel was rather basic. We were surprised to see that no bath robes nore slippers were provided, given the price we pay. In short, while an okay hotel to stay in, in terms of cleanliness and service.. I felt that it was rather over priced and thus would probably not stay in this hotel the next time.

We choose this hotel as it was a ideal location as we were seeing a concert at the entertainment centre that night. It was a little dissapointing however as the front desk staff mucked up our check in details and when we had to sort it out she was a little rude & not interested in what we had to say. In addition the in hotel room confectionary was also out of date, bed was to hard and there was absolutely not enough blankets except the very sheer one on the bed as the room was cold. Other than that we did enjoy our stay but may choose somewhere else next time.
