We really enjoyed our stay in SYDNEY the hotel was perfect for several reasons, for most of the sights to see it was very convienient in all direstions. We where upgraded to a suite room and this was really very good, very spacious and could just see the Oprea house and Bridge. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, even to the point I (Mrs Flitton) had my birthday there and they put a card and some choclate in my room. Really canot find anything wrong to say about this hotel, was perfect for what we needed.

Perfect Position on the Rocks This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. It is in a perfect position. We were very satisfied. The only minor complaint is the noisy air conditioner which rattled and vibrated all night.

On arriving we were met by a friendly efficient lady at the check in desk. From thereon it was downhill. There is was no lift and nobody to take our luggage up the stairs. On entering our 'superior' room our hearts sank. It was clean but dingy. The bathroom was the smallest I have seen. The ancient single glazed sash window was difficult to open and close, the paint was peeling and a noisy road was below. On returning to the hotel for a nightcap on the first two evenings, the bar was deserted and no sign of staff. We were booked in for 4 nights but checked out after 3. We have stayed in several Sydney hotels before without complaint. Good location but not recommended. Far better hotels in Sydney for the price.

We were very happy to spend our 21st Wedding Anniversary at this Hotel, the original Sydney Hospital! Although we didn't meet the resident ghost! It was a pleasant walk to an array of cafes, pubs, shops, restuarants and nothing beats Sydney Harbour!.

Rooms were either hot, or very cold as it was hard to get the airconditioning right. There is no elevator so if you have any foot/leg problems could be difficult. Nice little hotel and good price fo rthe location.

Pros: Hotel location is very good for the tourist. Easy walking to Opera House, SH Bridge, Circular Quay, Botanical Gardens, etc. The hotel is a converted warehouse - rooms are pretty small but clean & neat. Good for short stay if you just want somewhere to sleep. Cons: Reception was poor. No porters to help with luggage. Aircon was noisy. No bathtub in standard room.

Brilliant location, friendly & helpful staff. Would recommend this to other travellers. No bath just a shower in standard rooms.

THe Waldorf has deteriorated in its room quality - the rooms are much shabbier than a couple of years ago and there is no service to speak of. The apartment was booked as having a second bedroom with two single beds - instead there was a kingsize bed which necessitated the use of the sofa bed which was exrtremely uncomfortable. There was little or no local information available. Woul;d say that it was largely overpriced for what is provided.

Excellent freindly hotel bang in the middle for all Sidney attractions. Good rooms, but suites are in single room, so ok if all are family. Excellent position, and highly recommended to stay.
