Glenferrie Lodge provides superb 3 star accommodation on Sydney Harbour. Our friendly casual service is one of our main features, so if you are thinking of visiting Sydney for one night, an extended stay or even a quiet weekend away, this is the place for you. Glenferrie Lodge was recently selected in the top 20 affordable hotels in Australia under $150 and in the top 10 hotels (no 7) under $100 by Australian Traveller Magazine (2007). All rates include hot buffet breakfast and all rooms have television, fridge, dressing table, storage space and ceiling fan. . Deluxe rooms have own balcony and harbour aspect . . Shared facilities are spotless, with ample bathrooms throughout . All our rooms are serviced each 5 days . 6am to 10pm reception/security . Guest lounge/TV and Internet facilities plus Foxtel cable . Dining room with free tea & coffee facilities . Guest laundry and ironing room . Public telephones and vending machines . Tour desk/conference facilities . Garden area and communal verandas. Pets are allowed at the property, provided they are domesticated and under 20kg. A charge of $30.00 per pet, per night applies and must be paid in advance of arrival. Pets must be on a lead in all public areas of the hotel, lobby, hallways and surrounds. We would recommend cats to be brought in and out of the hotel in a cat carry box. Pets may not enter our restaurant, . Pets are not to be left alone in the guest rooms and are to refrain from sitting on the couches, chairs, etc within the lounge areas of the hotel. Glenferrie Lodge can also cater for business groups. If you or your business associates require Conference Facilities in Sydney, and/or accommodation come to Glenferrie Lodge. We can tailor packages to suit your needs, including the hire of conference rooms at glenferrie lodge for up to 15 people or for larger groups there is, very close by to us: Luna Park Conference Rooms, Coombs Centre Conference Rooms and The Kirribilli Community Centre.

Location is probably best to be in Sydney in busy period like new year. Staff is excellent and breakfast even so.

Glennferrie Lodge was great. A really nice and quiet place to rest your head if thats what you're looking for. A nice change from some of the other hostels I've been in. Its a short walk to Milsons Point and the Harbour Bridge and the ferry into the city is right there, practically at the front door. The place was spotless, the people friendly, and the breakfast was awesome. If you are looking for somewhere quiet this is it!

+ not much apart from its location - not child friendly, staff watched me struggle with baggage and did not offer to help. This hotel is more like a nice backpackers.

Cheap Clean and Cheerful Walk left and first right from the hotel to Kirribilii Wharf and get a three minute ferry ride to Circular Quay for all main attractions or turn right, then right again for fantastic views of the Opera house and the Harbour Bridge.

This is a hotel not a hostel. Pros: nice bedding, towels, TV & Fridge in room, great breakfast included, lovely location just 5 mins on ferry, cafes and shops nearby. Cons: No kitchen facilities to make own food, small lounge which closed at 10.30pm each night, difficult to meet other travellers as mainly full of hotel room guests. Overall really enjoyed my stay there though and it was nice to be removed from chaos of the city.

THE HOTEL WAS SUCH HORIBLE THAT I DID NOT STAYED IN THE ROOM THAT I PAID FOR !!! THE PICTURES ON THE NET SHOWED AN OLD, STYLED BUILDING BUT I EXPECTED THE INSIDE OF THE HOTEL AND ESPECIALY THE ROOMS CLEAN AND NICE. IT WAS JUST HORRIBLE !!! AND I LEFT THE HOTEL AFTER THE 5 MINUTES I TOOK TO LOOK AT THE ROOM. THE HOTEL REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME. PATRICK CLAUWAERT

Lovely Hotel at an amazing price. It felt very welcoming and was comforatble with an excellent breakfast included. 100 metres from the Kirribilli ferry to the City and 200 metres from stunning views of the city at night. Loved it.

Really nice place. Rooms are clean and comfy. The only thing to take into account is the ferry back into the city.
