An Auckland Gem We are a retired couple who stayed at the Copthorne Anzac for three nights at the end of January. We had a large, clean and comfortable room, supplied with lots of reading material on Auckland attractions. We dined at the restaurant on our first night there and had a well prepared meal. The buffet breakfasts were also very good. The staff are very well trained, polite, friendly and helpful. It really was service with a smile from them. The hotel is on the edge of downtown, adjacent to the University district. The area is safe, quiet at night, and we walked everywhere. We recommend the hotel highly.

Slightly odd set-up, in that the hotel is part of the NSW masonic club! Rooms are furnished in a rather old fashioned style which with the opaque windows makes the rooms a little dark. However, the hotel is comfortable and is situated within easy walking distance of shops and many of the main sites of interest. Continental breakfast included and laundry rooms available.

+Location -It is not possible to control the air conditioned within the room. It was very strong so the room was extremely cold.

My only problems were that the bed wasn't very wide (every time I rolled over I nearly fell out of bed) and the window in the room wasn't a clear glass so I couldn't see out (it made me feel a little claustrophobic).

+It is at the city center, close to almost anywhere I want to be. And there's a convenience store right next to it! -I could hear the next door guest flushing the toilet. I have a concern but I already filled out the hotel survey form and submitted it to the hotel front desk for their attention.

+Good central position in the center of Sydney, a lot of facilities very close -Our room was located in front of the hotel and we heard too much the noise of the street. (the upper window of the bathroom could not be closed ...)

+Kamer was OK. Het hotel ligt uiterst gunstig in het centrum. Zelfs het brandalarm werkte perfect. Het hotel was heel snel ontruimd en de brandweer was er heel snel. Bleek een vals alarm.
