Melbourne Hotels

Most of the hotels in Melbourne are found in the city centre, with some good budget accommodation in the bayside area of St Kilda. Like the city itself, the accommodation on offer in Melbourne is eclectic. Many of the Melbourne hotels in the "CBD" (central business district) are futuristic, glass-fronted buildings, such as the chic Westin Melbourne, a luxurious five-star hotel which is one of the most popular in the city. Elsewhere in the city, old-fashioned Victorian buildings have been transformed into cosy hostels, B&Bs and boutique hotels. Travellers looking for recognisable mid-range accommodation have a good choice as well: the Travelodge, Hotel Ibis and Best Western all have branches in the city.
