Its a good hostel with really warm and welcoming staff, clean compared to previous hostels I stayed in,kitchen had not much in it except microware which looked odd to me in the begining but later on I realized its a wise decission as it avoids the ugly sink with unwashed utensils which no one bothers to clean. Good cosy room and clean bathroom.

Rooms should be bigger for the price you pay. Wireless Internet Connection should be available in the whole building. The lab computer was full of not-able-to-connect computers. I paid for a single room, but my bed was double. The cleaning lady was good, working everyday, but the rest of the services not. The heater was on and off. Sometimes I was freezing, sometimes it was too hot.

A really friendly staff who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the hostel. Inside it felt secure and welcoming. Outside after 9pm it didn't feel so good. I used the pool which was fabulous. Many thanks to the staff for such a good job.

The rooms are very small and the building is very old. But near to subway and too warm in the cold nights.

We've been there for thanksgiving....basically just use the hostel to sleep, and that's all. No breakfast (but there are plenty of places to eat around), showers were ok (surprinsigly never busy), and next to a subway station, very convinient. For the price, I would stay again.

I stayed at the Harlem YMCA before and LOVED it so I came back. It satisfied all of my basic needs very well. The facility, staff and location are TOPS in my book! I highly recommend this place to anyone. You CANNOT beat the price for what you get: room with clean sheets, TV and frig in your room, free internet, common kitchen, subway 1 black down, etc. I will see you when I return! Thank HARLEM for everthing!
