Services are a bit basic but the location more than makes up for it. Would recommend.

The Walcott Hotel is nestled in midtown Manhattan. Be prepared to go back in time and take in the early architecture when entering the lobby. The elevators are small, but it doesnýt take a long time for one to get to your floor. The rooms are perfect for having a place to sleep at night and spending the day in the city. The air conditioners worked, thereýs hot water when you take a shower, and the beds are comfortable enough to make you fall asleep when your head hits the pillow. Room service does an excellent job keeping things in order while youýre out. Your pick of transportation (bus, trains, cabs) are just steps away. Macyýs, Times Square, Empire State Building on your itinerary? Walk there from the Walcott Hotel. Be adventurous and walk just a few blocks in any direction to find a favorite place to eat. I will definitely be going back to stay at the Walcott in the future.

- The staff at the check in desk were not friendly and rude. our room was not ready and they kept us waiting for 40 minutes before they could give us another room for the first night. they did not apologise for the inconvenience either. when we received the triple room that we had booked, the bathroom light was not working. we contacted the front desk about this, but it was never fixed during our stay.

Cheep and cheerful. The room was standard enough, but spotlessly clean, very comfy beds. I was very happy with it for the price I paid. If you are looking for a hotel in a great location in NYC (1 block from Empire State) and dont intend on using the ro

This hotel has wonderful ambience, super location, and is a real bargain compared to similar hotels close by. Would definately stay there again, and have no reservations about recommending it to friends.

The bathroom was extremely small and we had problems with getting the right temperature in the shower. Because the bath/shower area was so small when you closed the shower curtain it stuck to you and you couldnt move. Other than that the hotel was nice and centrally located.Pity they dont have a restaurant or bar there.

Good hotel with good location and good facilities esprecially in New York. The late check out is also nice.

The Wolcot has a excelent location, was comfortable but the rooms are to small for the price we pay.

Very convenient location as you can catch bus/underground just at the corner. You can also walk to many nearby places such as ESB etc. The staff is not very friendly, but the place is funny, the rooms are fine and they offer nice fresh scones in the morn
