Other than the above mentioned areas, the staff was very helpful to us the inexperienced New Yorkers.

Wow, what a great stay! If you are up for a walking adventure for your NYC trip, this is the place for you! Convenient to Penn Station, Macy’s, MSG, and other subway lines, all within two blocks! The hotel is new, clean, and modern! Breakfast is convenient, although the only average part of our stay (faux eggs). The service by the front desk was phenomenal--all of them are so friendly and helpful! Marble countertops in the bathrooms! Comfortable beds! Very clean and roomy! We walked to Times Square in ten minutes! The AC is a bit noisy in the room, and you can hear the street noise in the evening, but you will almost everywhere else in the city, too. The hotel is in the fashion/garment district, so the street itself is very nondescript, but again, who cares? I HIGHLY recommend this stay if you are in town to see the sights! We could not have been happier for our five day stay! Traveler's tip on local attractions Have a hot dog and fruit drink at Gray’s Papaya, just two blocks away on 37th/8th. Delicious! Walk down 9th Ave., up in the 40’s/50’s for excellent cafes that are much more reasonably priced. Arriba Arriba, 51st/9th, excellent mole and huge maragaritas! I know this is cheesy/touristy, but take a double decker bus tour through the city--pay in advance online (not on the street), and sit up top, it is a deal well worth it!

The wingate staff was warm and helpful. I liked the room except for the desk chair which was too large for the area. It was in a perfect location and was clean and the bedding was very comfortable. I will stay there again.

Been to NYC many times with many hotel experiences....this was a great hotel with free internet service, awesome free breakfast and very clean! Somewhat small rooms, but most NY hotels are, although enough room to easily move around in. Great location to many sites and areas of the city.

this was my first time travelling to new york and i was travelling alone.i was very pleased with "Wingate Inn Manhattan Midtown". The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't know my way around, so they would print out maps to my destination along with the best subway routes. One of the best things i liked was that everytime i would step out of the hotel, the staff at the lobby would alway tell me to call them if i got lost and they would come get me.so i always felt safe and reassured. the room was very comfortable and the maid would come everyday to clean it. i was very satisfeid with the hotel and will always stay here now and will definatly recommand it to everyone.not to metion excellent location is a plus.
