Terrible hotel. Dirty, tiny rooms. Mine came with a double bed. Not Queen or even Full; a double bed. At 6 foot 2, my feet were hanging off the end. ALL the lighting is fluorescent: Terrible. peeling wallpaper and loose plaster in the bathroom. They make you wait around for a bellman to show you your room (scam) and the staff is a surly and pass-the-buck as can be. Never again.

After a grueling 11 hour flight and the usual rigamarole at the air port and arranging ground service to the city, we arrived at the front desk to be informed we had been upgraded to a suite - two lovely rooms with queen size beds and TV's,...

I stayed in this hotel in 2002 for 3 days. I was asked by my visiting boyfriend to check it out before he booked a room there. I didn't know what to expect, since I had never heard of it. I hung around the lobby for 30 min. The registration counter was quite busy and the bellboys didn't even look in my direction. I would have liked to have seen a room before booking, but I gave up. The lobby was nice so I told my boyfriend to go ahead and book it. It was small, but clean and nicely decorated. In short it was okay.

The location itself is execellent whether your travel is business or pleasure. Me & my boyfriend has an amazing experience of all times. The minute we stepped in the hotel, we can't wait to roam around Time Square & its already 12:00 midnight(EST)& of course, we ate at Carnegie Deli w/c is steps away from the hotel. Though our room is small & the carpet is old, but overall, the service is prompt & the staff are friendly & very polite. Thanks Wellington Hotel... Its an unforgettable experience. I'd love to stay again.

Check in slow, they couldn't manage the adjoining rooms as requested, rooms hadn't been made up when we reached them. They had allocated us 2 doubles instead of a double and a suite. From arriving it took about an hour to sort all this out and when you have to wait an average of 10 minutes each time to get to the reception desk it can be quite frustrating.

June 16, 2003, I checked out of a hotel which I had booked sight unseen and set out for midtown to find a place to spend my week. I was about to give up when I noticed the Wellington sign a block away. I walked into the beautiful, clean loby and inquired about room availability and costs. I was served promptly and courteously. I was even permitted to view the room before I signed in.
