Tribeca Grand Hotel

2 Avenue Of The Americas - 10013 New York

The Tribeca Grand Hotel is situated in the heart of Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood, approximately 11 miles from LaGuardia International Airport and 15 miles from John F. Kennedy International Airport. This chic property is also within five blocks of the SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, and Greenwich Village areas of Manhattan. Hotel amenities include 24-hour concierge, room service, complimentary New York Times newspapers, free local telephones calls and fax services, and exercise facilities. As an alternative to the traditional formal dining room, the living-room style Church Lounge, located on the first floor of the eight-story atrium, features the culinary creations of three-star chef Rob Miketa. The entire atrium lounge has been designed as a 'moveable feast' offering continuous beverage service and dining in a setting that can be endlessly reconfigured. The low lounge furniture and cocktail tables are mixed with cafe-style table and chairs allowing the space to conform to the inclinations of the guests. Adjoining the Church Lounge is Chambers, a separate club-like room with its own private entrance on Sixth Avenue, which is available for private dining and entertaining. The Tribeca Grand also features a unique 98-seat screening room on the lower level. Guest rooms feature in-room broadband Internet connectivity via high-speed ports and wireless keyboards, ergonomic Herman Miller (Aeron) executive chairs, Egyptian cotton Frette bathrobes and Egyptian cotton towels, toiletries by Kiehl's, feature Bose Wave Radio/CD players, SONY TV/VCRs with remote, and built-in bathroom TVs.

The gracious and attentive staff is what makes this hotel superior. I recently stayed at the Tribeca Grand for a week and expected a hip hotel with hip employees and the sort of so-so service that accompanies trendy places. Instead, I found a place full of accommadating, happy and respectful service minded staff. On top of the basics being exceptional the restaurant was top-notch and the room and every spot in the place completely spic and span. Throughout my week I needed several things and every call to the front desk or concierge was picked up instantly and dealt with quickly and perfectly. I actually laughed at how quickly staff made it to my room when I requested an ipod and a fish (both free upon request). I took advantage of the small, private business office that is available for a small fee ($10 or $15 a day I think)Tribeca is a fantastic neighborhood for a stroll and is especially fun for singles, couples, business travelers or shoppers and pet owners...a full section in the room service menu is devoted to pet needs! Each doormen knew the area like the back of their hand and helped me and my friends(some of whom live in NY) get to places faster and with less hassle than we thought possible.

Great hotel with great ambience We loved this hotel. A great location for exploring Greenwich village, Chinatown, Little Italy, etc. For a large luxury hotel it had a warm and friendly atmosphere with courteous service at all times: it was a hotel where you felt you were a welcome guest. The Church Lounge, with its soaring atrium, had a real buzz about it but still provided an ideal chill out after a busy day.

I stayed at the Tribeca Grand on 3/29/08 for my 5th Anniversary. It was beyond atrocious. They put us on the second floor, failing to advise us that the atrium (the rooms all overlook the atrium) turns into a nightclub until the wee hours of the morning. Suffice it to say, all of the reasons why you don't want to sleep in a nightclub came true here. Even worse, after agreeing not to charge me for my room, the hotel charged my credit card anyway and refuses to reverse the charge!!

This hotel boasts an amazing hip hotel bar with great bites. Its rooms are on the small side, but have super sleek details (like a small flat screen in the bathroom). Dark grays, and muted colors dress the room and this can make you easily want to sleep the day away. The staff was very courteous and helpful during my stay.

The best part of the hotel is the cool lobby bar. However, they closed it off for a private party on a Thursday night. It was a cold and wet evening which left the hotel patrons without any form of socializing or unwinding.

Spent four nights here last summer. . .I was very pleased with the hotel. There is a nice lounge downstairs, friendly staff, and good location.
