Tony's Place Guest House is a charming, historic establishment with a lovely garden located in the Columbia University area just a 10 minute stroll from Central Park and a short subway or bus ride to attractions such as Museum of Natural History, Tavern on the Green, Lincoln Center, Broadway Theatres and Times Square. Located in South Harlem, it is close to the main thoroughfare 125th Street, home of the famous Apollo Theatre, most notably Afro-American artists. If you are in town in august the Harlem Week/Harlem Jazz & Music Festival is an annual summer festival with food, art, concerts, seminars, music and street entertainment. The Urban World Film Festival also takes place in August every year. Year round there are also gospel singers on Sundays at the Gothic-style Abyssinian Baptist, Canaan Baptist and Metropolitan Baptist. Tony's Place Guest House is perfect for those who are looking for a little more ambience and history than a standard hotel in Manhattan. This Victorian style building will transport visitors to a difference time. The bedrooms are individually and beautifully decorated, and all are different. The guest rooms have high ceilings and queen and twin sized beds sleeping anywhere from 1-2 to 4-5 people. Some of the rooms overlook the garden and all share a bathroom. In the rooms, there are coffee and tea making facilities, a TV in the rooms, wireless internet, air-conditioning, fans and heating. All guests have access to the kitchen and dining area, though no breakfast is served here.
