This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Reasonably priced for NY..very clean, great staff. The 2nd avenue location is a bit off the path, depending upon what you are doing in the City, but otherwise it was a very positive experience that I would highly suggest to anyone.

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got a bargain introductory rate on the hotel website. The staff was courteous and efficient. It is close to everything and very quit.

My two week stay at this hotel was enjoyable. The concierge was extremely helpful. It's close to Penn Staion Metro stop & a bus line stops in front of hotel. The location is much quieter than the Crowne Plaza on 49th St. However, the rooms are smaller. In addition, there aren't as many restaurants around.

If youre looking for a great location in NYC this one is convenient to Arts District, shopping/5th Ave, bars/eateries. The rooms are small but nice and the hotel is nice also. Just had some problems with the hotel service. I noticed several...

My experience at this hotel was AWFUL. The room was 80 degrees and even though I told them 5 times and had at least 2 engineers look at it, it was never fixed during my stay. The window pane had a HUGE crack in it that I was so paranoid about it due to the fact that I had to keep the window open the whole time to try and cool the room down. I was in town for an interview and getting ready for an interview is NOT pleasant when you're sweating after getting out of the shower. The room had no tissues and only one bar of soap (only the small bar to keep by the sink - there was nothing for the shower which I discovered while already in the shower). As an added bonus, when I went to call to find out when the check out time was, the phone didn't work either. They offered no apology, explanation, or compensation. I only paid $95/night through Priceline, but it still wasn't worth it.

The location of the hotel was great. It was about three blocks from Grand Central Station for the subway and two blocks from the bus stop for Lexington Avenue. It was easy to get around.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in thepast three years. The hotle was updated in about 1970. For $500 (preferred rate!) I was shocked at how poor this facility and its staff was.
