The Roger Smith Hotel

Very unique hotel About every 30 minutes the pipes or radiator or something in the room would pop and it was VERY loud causing a bad night's sleep.

No wireless network, and as a consultant I need it all times, had I knew it before never would have opted for this hotel. At approx 58 degrees F I would opt to switch on my room heater if there was one, but on the contrary AC is switched on FULL without any room control, what the hell, moreover at night there are no technicians to get it switched off, thats certainly one way God could have punished me for my sins.

It seems the hotel was concerned that a boycott due to the planned naked chocolate Jesus sculpture would occur and cancelled the showing. This shows lack of integrity for caving in on one hand and lack of judgement for insulting Christians on the other. I think I'll find another hotel. If the reports are apocryphal....I apologize and hope you disregard this missive.

Great hotel in a great location. Will definitely be returning. Excellent in all respects. Most of all was a wonderful, central location on Lexington Avenue for walking to most places, including shops, Grand Central station, Central Park, UN, musums etc. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was really good, and staff were very attentive and helpful. Although the breakfast room is not huge, it's not that small either, and staff were 'on the ball' at finding space for all. The rooms, and beds, were really comfortable. Our room, on 9th floor, was on the Lex Av side, and was a bit noisy, but don't think affected sleep too much. I will definitely be booking this hotel again for any future visits to NY, and recommending it to friends/family.

Room was good sized Bed was too soft internet coverage horrible (1MB/s)and unusable

+ good price, brakfast, comfortable beds, good location - Regrettably the room was very noisy so it was difficult to sleep!

A Gem in NYC Have nothing negativee to say about this hotel. Desk Clerk very courteous and helpful - we were able to check-in to room at 11:00AM. Location is excellent to restaurants and subway. Would highly recommend.

Great value for money The only downside to this hotel is that it's right next door to a night club. During our 3 nights we were woke up at 4.00am every night as the club emptied! It wouldn't put me off though. Just ask for a room that's not at the front!

Stayed for just one night. Clean room. tasteful breakfast and very helpful staff. Great location. I will be back.The price of the room will match any other three star hotel in NY.
