NIGHT is an experience in its own right NIGHT is great - awesome location, stylish interior, very friendly staff and you get a complimentary breakfast too! It ticks all the boxes for me. The only minor was limited space to unpack your clothes - we stayed 7 nights and most of our clothes had to stay in our luggage as there was only 1 small drawer per person. Still - this is the best place I stayed in Manhattan over the years, you certainly get value for money.

Great first time in New York Beware of the tip... The waiters are very fussy about getting a tip.. So if you double the tax on the bill that should be plenty.., eg if tax is $3.. you leave a $6 tip... unlike home we tip for good service, in NY u tip because u were served, full stop.. odd but 'when in rome..' tip is 15%..

The best thing about this hotel is the location, which is perfect for everything and right on top of Times Square. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, but the other staff were not so. While the room is definitely appealing on the eye, they are a lot smaller than the internet pictures suggest. The biggest problem is that there is no soundproofing, so you can hear everything in the next room, even hangars moving in the wardrobe! The doors all slam, and nothing you can do to stop them doing so, therefore if someone leaves their room in the early hours, you are guarenteed to be woken up. And if you are counting on enjoying the inclusive breakfast, don't! If you are not there by 8am, there are no bagels, croissants, and you have to ask for more fresh orange, which will be met by a grunt at best. It's a shame because the hotel could be very good if a bit more effort was made by the staff (and investment in soundproofing the rooms or adding door closers). I was hoping for more, and could have got better value for money staying at most other hotels.

A very nice hotel - though their cleaner needs a bit of guidance! For a quick breakfast that's cheap but filling, try the Cranberry Bakery across the road from Night Hotel.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant/nightclub was closed when we were there, so there were no sound issues. The bar was open till midnight for anyone wanting a late cocktail. Continental breakfast - hardboiled eggs, cereal, bagels, muffins, OJ, fruit was more than enough to start the day. Half a block from Times Square and the theater district. The king room we were placed in was VERY small, though appointed beautifully. We asked, and were switched to a larger queen room. The only rooms that look out on the street are the suites at the end of the hall, but in NYC, the only reason you're in the room is to change clothes and sleep and the rooms can be thoroughly darkened at any time of day. The atmosphere is very sexy. My daughter commented that she'd like to return with her husband. I understand that they offer free yoga and meditation classes in conjunction with the spa at the Dream Hotel. They have DVD players at the desk - just ask if you want one.

Great location for little known hotel Know where you are going before you start out. We came up on locations much quicker than we expected. If you are a strong walker you can walk to almost anywhere. Local watering holes the Half pint and Jimmys corner are two great but different experiences. Loved the city!!

Perfect Location This hotel couldn't be in a better location. Less than 5 minutes to several theatres & Time Square. Rooms are a bit tiny, but the decor is lovely. Staff at the hotel are all wonderful.

We stayed in the standard queen room. The decor was so strange, and the room so small, that we were only there for under an hour. The decor was creepy and goth, making the place less inviting and more like a vampire's lair. The room was so small that beyond feeling claustrophobic (which has never been a problem for us, ever before) we literally couldn't open both of our rolling suitcases on the floor at the same time. To top it off, the "window" behind the shade, shown in other people's pictures, looked onto a dingy enclosed alley that was dripping with dirt. The only redeeming quality was that the manager was understanding and kind enough to let us cancel the reservation without charge. In case it seems like we're being unfair, or have an ulterior motive in our description, that is not the case. We were two blissful travelers who were shocked.
