+ I felt safe even though the hotel was always open but unattended at times. close to subway, restaurants and anything you need. - If negative it is because you misrepresented what to expect. there was no restaurant or bar, not even an ice machine in the building, and the hotel taxes add $70.00 per night to the cost of the room.

I stayed at the Marmara Manhattan in July for business. I needed to stay for 3 weeks and my company was stretched a bit at this price, however I really lobbied to stay there versus the Oakwood. And I am so glad I did. The apartment was really clean and had everything I needed.

We were renovating our house and had to find a place for 3 months. The reservation was very smooth, the front desk was very very helpful and polite.

I stayed there in 1999 and i was totally satisfied with this hotel. When compared with the other hotels in NY value for money is excellent in this hotel and very very clean. Also even the studio type rooms are large enough for New York standards.

I stayed there and the room was excellent. I felt likei just walked right into my own apartment. The views where great and everything you need is near is just a short walk away. I highly recommend this place.

+The homey atmosphere, feeling like you are in a apartment rather than a hotel. Amenities. -There is major, ongoing street construction on 2nd avenue, right in front of the hotel, where drilling went way into the night (10pm!) and there are workmen, loud construction noises, bright LIGHTS.If you need peace and quiet, check with the hotel to see when this will be finished. It may take months! Request a high floor!!! Watch out for plethora of a slew of taxes which escalate the daily rate considerably!

+Very spacious rooms, appartment-style. Staff very friendly and courteous. -There was heavy construction work going on outside the hotel on 2nd avenue - will probably continue through all of October 2007 at least. Windows of the appartment were very dirty - this doesn't correspond well with the overall impression the hotel tries to make.

+The stay was more like being in an apartment of a friend than a hotel. I loved the decor and stylish touches in the apartment such a water, coffee make, toaster, dinner ware. -Lots of construction going on 2nd Avenue and my room faced the street, so iut was noisy. I would ask for a higher floor in the future.
