Location. The Mansfield Hotel is located in New York, N.Y., off Fifth Avenue at 44th Street. The hotel stands two blocks from the Theater District and two blocks from Bryant Park. The Mansfield Hotel has done a wonderful job of preserving the original feel of the hotel while providing current technology. Our room had the original, beautiful hardwood floors and a great, wall mounted plasma TV. The bathroom was completely renovated with beautiful tile and fixtures. The hallways are narrow, but the original tile and woodwork has been preserved and is in great condition. The breakfast selection was very satisfactory and the free coffee in the library was a nice touch. The bar service in the evening was great. The location was great for us, with Central Park within walking distance.

only one complaint. we had a room that faced w 44th and i couldn't sleep because the noise from outside kept me up. the noise was primarily from taxis, trash trucks and delivery trucks all night long.

NEW YORK NEW YORK !!! Cafe Europa just around the corner on 5th Avenue did a great breakfast and set you up for the day

+ The staff were helpful and very friendly, especially the bellman and the reception staff The hotel was very clean. The rooms and public areas were also excellently furnished.

This hotel was a great price and a wonderful location. I enjoyed most of the staff- they were helpful. The room was not large but we didn't spend most of our time in it. The bathroom was good size. We didn't have a window in our room. Almost everything was within walking distance. Central Park was only about a fifteen min. walk up Fifth ave. Only complaint I had was the first morning I was woken up by a sound of a chainsaw. Don't know for sure if this was what it was but it was loud. We were even on the six floor and could hear it. But could not hear traffic. I would stay there again.....

The room was small, and the bathroom was smaller, but that is to be expected in an origional NYC hotel. The location was spectacular! The room was newly decorated and very tasteful. I will stay here again, and will recommend it to others. This hotel is in the middle of the city's action, but tucked away off the main streets. The opulence of traditional NYC is found throughout this hotel.
