Rooms are very nice (newer and clean) and I thought housekeeping did a good job. Bad view (of next building), but I didn't mind. Staff were friendly. There were 3 of us, and we found out it later that we had the smallest double room they had. Yeah, it was pretty small, but we were just excited to be in NY, so we didn't mind that either. I've stayed at a lot of hotels, but not in NY (so I can't compare to other NY hotels).

It was clean and comfortable. It’s a good place for Italian visitors.

Nice place, annoying noise outside the room We found the room as we aspected. Everything was clean and pretty nice. We needed to take a taxi because the receptionist’s indications were useless. Everything was good except an annoying noise outside the room (maybe an AC outside). Anyway, I suggest this hotel.

They charged me for a bottle of water I bought in a convenience store. It took three calls and two e-mails to rectify this error.

The Carlton Hotel on Madison Avenue was an amazing stay. We stayed while it was under renovation, and it was still beautiful and highly accomodating. They will switch your rooms around, if need be, as we found out.

A gem of a value in NYC. I have stayed at the St Regis, Hyatt, The Plaza, etc. and on the room itself this is best for your $$$. I will come back at that great rate of $189/nt. Front desk gave a great recommedation for dinner. thanks Jayda!Excellent experience!

Great Place To Stay had a dreadful meal at a little italian restaurant a few doors away from the hotel called Meli Melo. Looks great on the inside but food was awful! not recommended.

It is centrally located and has a very courteous staff. However our room was noisy, the bartender in the hotel bar was not experienced, and the drinks were expensive.
