DON’T GO FOR A STROLL AT NIGHT ... Yes, I know, it’s there in the small print. The airport shuttle stops at 11.30 pm. I only discovered this after taking the JFK airtrain to the shuttle pick-up point at half past midnight and then had to go all the way back to the terminal for a cab. As ever in New York, the driver hadn’t a clue where he was going and I didn’t arrive at hotel until after 1.0 am. More hungry than tired after a flight from LA, I went off on foot in search of an ATM and fast food outlet. Using the drive-in windo as a pedestrian is interesting but walking a gauntlet of teenaged ’gangstas’ on the way back from the cash point was a little disconcerting. The hotel room itself was comfortable, though I think I must have used the service stairs to get to my door. At least, I hope I did. I’d go back all right but I’ve always been a sucker for punishment at the right price! Traveler's tip I like Jamaica Avenue and the little businesses which crowd it. There’s a great buzz about the place. Yet this Super 8 is not very well located and I’d certainly not advise anybody - okay, maybe Steven Segal - to go walkabout late at night.

Near the Jamaica station but still need to walk 5 minutes along Jamaica avenue which is a bit creepy in the night. Staff is nice and helpful.

OK for overnight stay This hotel is fine for an overnight stay and definitively better than sleeping at the airport terminal. The breakfast was eatable and the shuttle service was quick enough both to/from the airport. On the other hand, even at the fourth floor it was quite noisy due to the traffic outside, so keep that in mind.

Good service. Worht the money. Only issue I had was with the bath room where the shower lever didn't function. Hence couldn't have a shower. I did report to the reception at the time of check out. I guess if the previous occupier of the room had reported earlier they would have repaired it on time!

bad experience The hotel is in a such a bad area and we did not feel safe at all. The receptionist was so rude and all the staff had a bad attitude ( except the shuttle driver). The bed was broken. We liked the high speed internet.I don’t think I would go back ever again.

If the chain is this good, i know were im staying from now on the hotel is situated at the top of jamaica avenue which just happens to be the 'high street' of the area

Good location for subway/airport. Good location to catch subway into manhatten.

Hotel is near JFK. A big plus. If you fill in the adress in a Never Lost system it will sent you to the other end of Jamaica Avenue. I dont' know why. Also for a foreigner not easy. And that's a long drive through a not so kind neighbourhood.

Close to JFK airport - great for an overnighter Free shuttle service to/from hotel and airport. Rooms comfortable. Some restaurants nearby.

Considering price, it is ok. But breakfast seems not so good...
