A trendy part of town. Much better for shopping and eating than mid town. A clean cheap hotel. Nothing flash nothing bad.

Great price in downtown NYC. Up and coming location. Hotel has unique old fashioned appearances since it is supposed to be one of NYC oldest hotels. But, management is in upgrade mode which is plain to see and appreciate.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The lobby definitely has a European feel. Excellent candy at the front desk.

SOHOTEL was the perfect location, around the corner from Little Italy & Chinatown. We stayed in a 2 Double & 1 Single bed room. It was very clean and I loved the brick wall & wooden floors. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. Our stay was short so the location was perfect for the itinerary we had planned and especially for the price.

Great location and really nice staff, however, rooms are noisy, you can hear other guests.

we had a clean large room. Convenient location to Chinatown and a block away from subway. Not a lot of character but NYC is expensive, so it met all our needs.

+it was very easy to find, if you want to see new york using the subway u'll like this place, just 50 meters away from a substation, was near Little Italy, which was a veyr nice place filled with european styled bars and restaureants, the hotel was well equiped and in a safe quarter except for the fact that they hadn't enough information for a turist. -my room was on the side of the road and during night were a lot sounds comming from there, the hotel needs to do something for those rooms so they can be isolated from sound

    - Improve description from JFK to hotel - I do need smaller pillows (but this is only my problem, I guess)

If you don't mind stairs and no room phones, this is a fine place with roomy rooms and reasonable rates. I would definitely stay again.
