Excellent Value We chose this hotel only because of its closeness to EWR. We had an early Monday morning flight back to the west coast and got there late Sunday evening so my impression is based on the cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed, and the quietness in spite of the closeness of EWR. Free parking was a plus. Others charged. I will return.

Very happy with the hotel. Location is close to the Newark/Penn station. Staff very helpful If you plan to go into NYC and you have multiple people in your party and a car, drive to the Newark Penn station just 10 minutes down the road instead of using the shuttle service offered by hotel. It's $15/person for the shuttle and only $18 to park your car at the lot across the street from the train station for a 12hr period of time.

Easy trip to NYC The hotel was very nice and the transportation shuttles and trains were very easy. It is located conveniently near the train station and a great outlet mall. We go to NYC several times a year and plan on staying in Elizabeth again.

It was OK The Doubletree was ok but overcrowded that weekend with the Ms. Brazil and UFC Fighting Championship. No concierge was anywhere in sight to help me and my party at time of arrival. Also, the hostess in the restaurant was somewhat rude and non-chalant. At least, it was close to the airport and interstate which was good.
