Not the best NYC has to offer For the price of the hotel, this was a major dissappointment. This is the first time I am writing a review, but I felt the need to do so as I was not thrilled with my stay. The room was dirty, small, and noisy. But, it was close to where I wanted to be with my wife, so I guess that was the one thing that worked out well.

I didn't have the greatest room. I guess that’s typical for NYC. The view from the window was a brick wall.

The only problem I had with this hotel was that although I was in what was a smoke free room, it still reeked of smoke and got worse every night, not sure if it was coming through the heat vents or the one in the bathroom.

Good Location Get a New York City Pass. Very good value and it helps to beat most queues. Also go up the Empire State Buliding at night - smaller queues and spectacular view!

Check-in was at 4, but our room was not ready until after 5:30, so we had to wait around. We reserved a room with a queen-sized bed but they kept trying to give us 2 double beds.

The hotel was very centrally located and for the most part, everyone was helpful. I think the girl checking in my son must have been new, and she had many problems. We did finally get it all straightened out, but my son became very frustrated.

Although the corner room that I had was exceptionally small it was very well appointed. I was puzzled by the fact that after checkin employees entered the room ( I didn't have the security stop in place)on two separate occassions as if they thought the room was empty. The following day when I was dressing to check out yet again an employee attempted to enter the room (security stop was in place)unannounced. Other than that, I recommend staying there and will do it again!

I did not care much for the location, but I had to stay there because of a wedding and that was the hotel where everyone stayed. The personnel was friendly and helpful.
