Quality Inn Brooklyn

Great for budget The hotel is brand new so everything still runs well and rooms are quite nice although small. However it is in a strange location looks industrial, do not be fooled by the address, (Atlantic Ave). The hotel has so many train stations surrounding it and a good bus service which is great but i do not think the double glazing on the windows keeps the noise out, though u get used to it after a whila and you do not notice it. Some of the reception staff are friendly but not all are helpful. All phone calls are free including some i made to mobile phones. This is not a place for family holidays but for people who are in new york for sightseeing and shopping and clubbing especially if you hate hostels. Internet access is free in the lobby but u cannot print anything i.e boarding passes like some budget hotels. As it says the breakfast is free and free indeed, not much of continental in a tiny 'resturant'. Absolutely brilliant for links into manhattan and JFK is nearby therefore lot cheaper to take a taxi rather than a shuttle bus.

the rooms are nice, although we had a basement room, that was called a first floor room! also the breakfast was better than in many other american hotels; many trains running almost everywhere, only 2 blocks foem broadway junction; for NY it is a good deal if you can stand noise there are so many trains and streets around the hotel, it is extremely noisy; the neighborhood is not welcoming at all, might even be dangerous at night! wouldnt want to walk from the subway to hotel at night on my own

Terrible location unwilling to walk to find food at night or as I was alone and unwilling to walk back from station too late. Staff didn;t seem to know area very well. No shops or food outlets near hotel.

nice hotel This hotel was nice. easy links to everywhere, and clean.

Never got there, it was in a pretty bad area of the Brooklynn so I decided to get a hotel in a better area.

friendly staff, good condition and facilities, locaton next to the railway line is the only draw back but its liveable, good value for new york, excellent connections, subway just 2 blocks away and 20 minutes into Manhattan on the A or C train.

Not impressed would not go back Stayed at hotel for one day to attend Funeral. Would not stay under normal circumstances. Train lines outside window, neighborhood questionable & could not rest.
