beautiful location rooms were quite small and somewhat uncomfortable. The location was great if you are seeing some off broadway shows and is located on restaurant row. Also, we enjoyed a restaurant and bar next to the hotel that featured live jazz every evening. The retro-modern look and feal of the lobby was somewhat off putting Traveler's tip on dining If you intend to see off broadway shows or enjoy restaurant row, this is the place. itis also quite close to the Rockefeller Center, MOMA, Times Square and the subway.

I booked at the Paramount since it was close to a client's office and was recommended. The lobby is weird chic and the dim lighted elevators are not user friendly. The room however was the worse. I had larger dorm rooms. Not only does the bed take up most of the room. The cabinet with the mini bar and tv was on a swivle since otherwise you would not be able to walk around the bed to the closet. Finding plugs for typical business electronics was a mess. The biggest suprise was the next afternoon after coming back from a long day and finding that the room had not been cleaned. I was then informed by the front desk that they do not clena the rooms every day. For $250.00 a night I have stayed in much friendlier hotels in NYC in nicer condition and in great neighborhoods. I am telling all of my friends to avoid this one at all costs.

My spouse and 2 young children booked into this hotel for the night of my birthday. Everything was fine until we found bed bugs in both beds in our room. Upon finding the bugs, we reported it and were immediately given another room.

+The location -We have expected better value for this high price - at least coffee & tea in the room, iron and operating minibar

The rooms were tiny, but I expected that from reviews that I had read online.

Great location If there a 4 or more people in the family use taxis as it can cost as much to travel on the underground and at least in a taxi you get great views of New York on the journey. Pick up a tax free card from the visitors center at Macy's and you can claim the tax back on purchases. Also if you are using the shuttle buses to get to Newark airport, allow plenty of time as it can take 2 hours in heavy traffic

Great location but try for the Marriott Marquis (across the street) or the Milford Plaza. Might be better after it becomes a Hard Rock Hotel later this year.

The lobby and mezzanine bar give a fair indication of what you can expect throughout this hotel: Trendy-kitschy chic, yet economically appointed (especially for its Times Square location)... and The Best people watching in all of Broadway, imho. The rooms are small, as most savvy travelers should expect here; but the location more than makes up for it. I'll be back.
