I've stayed at the Omni for over 20 years. It just keeps getting better and better. This hotel is not only in the heart of the best shopping and restaurants, the staff is wonderful. I've stayed at many of the famous hotels in NYC but none compare to the Omni Berkshire.

The Omni Berkshire is one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed at in New York city. The accomodations were comfortable, clean, and spacious. The staff was wonderful and the location is so convenient to the everything in Midtown.

We stayed at the Omni for four days over Christmas and it was great. We chose it for the reviews and they were all right on. The room was bigger than we expected being in New York and all. The service was great. It was clean. Great location. We got to see everything we wanted. All in all a great place.

My neice booked the rooms for us. she stays there a lot and told it was really nice. I am a country girl and have not flown over 3- 4 times in my entire life. But I can tell everyone the Omni Berkshire was a dream come true. I gasp when I saw the lobby and the beautiful centerpiece. It was like I was in a fairytale except it was coming true. I was there in March before 9-11. My neice told me everything was so close. It was. It was so very comfortable. I felt so safe and secure. The service was...well it was more than excellent! I was greeted at the door. I couldn't believe it! If I ever come back to New York this is the place I wish to stay. Thanks Omni Berkshire for making my dream come true. This is one grandmother that loves New York and the Omni Berkshire. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I've stayed in many hotels in NY over the past 25 years and for the money the Omni-Brekshire is one of the best. Its ideally located a block or so from St. Patrick's Cathedral and close to Central Park. The rooms were very nicely appointed with terrifc beds, super bathrooms, plush towels and a small but "real gym" with great views. The NY times was delivered each morning and the staff were uniformly polite and helpful.

The hotel staff was kind and willing to go out of their way to help guests. That was very nice. The televisions are a disappointment. Surely they can afford something more modern, given the price of a room. One other irritant: Like clockwork, when you ask an outdoor bellman to hail a cab they pretend to try, then they come back and say there are not cabs available but COINCIDENTALLY they happen to have their friend right there in a black sedan who can take you for 'about the same price'. This happens every single time, regardless of traffic, etc. I am not bothered that these guys are getting referral fees from the sedan drivers, but I do find their feigned attempts to find a cab somewhat absurd. Sometimes I just want a cab, not a sedan. Do these guys really believe I am falling for this obviously rehearsed routine?

we reserved a non-smoking room with double beds. ended up with a one bed, and a trundle. very crowded. staff was not helpful. do not do anything through the concierge...way over-priced. the hotel location is great, but overall it is not worth the price.

When I made my reservation through Venere, I wasn't sure whether the "total price" quoted by Venere for the room included taxes and fees. I sent an email to Venere to ask and received an email telling me that such taxes and fees depend on the hotel and country, and that U.S. hotels typically do not include taxes and fees in their quoted prices. I was therefore prepared to pay taxes and fees above and beyond the quoted total price from Venere. I was very pleasantly surpirsed, however, to discover that, when I checked out, Venere's quoted price DID include taxes and fees for the Omni Berkshire. Thanks for a great hotel rate!

Great hotel-clean, helpful staff, great location. My friend and I stayed here in late September. We recieved excellent service. The rooms are huge for NYC standards. The bed is so comfortable-I slept like I was in my own bed at home. Every restaurant/show that the concierge recommended was fantastic.
