New World Hotel

101 Bowery - New York

Welcome to the 1-star New World Hotel in New York City near Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy and NoLIta, offering the visitor a range of different New York experiences in the same trip. The New World Hotel is just around the corner from Chinatown where you can experience real Chinese food, for example. Mott Street is Chinatown’s Main Street so to speak, and extends down to hip Bleecker Street. Head to Mott Street north of Broom, and you’re suddenly in NoLIta also known as "North of Little Italy". Here you’ll find a totally different vibe: fashionable boutiques and restaurants and cafes cater mostly to high income young people. For entertainment, the trendy clubs and bars of SoHo are only a few short blocks away or, if fairs and fettuccini are more to taste, Little Italy is right down the block. In addition, convenient subway stations lead you to the glitter of Times Square, the glamour of the Theatre District, the famous Central Park, shopping on 5th Avenue or in Herald Square, the events of Madison Square Garden, and of Rockefeller Center. The hotel itself is a budget lodging that offers clean, simple and basic rooms. Most of them share a bathroom, but some private bathrooms are available. The rooms are very little, just wifi internet and a TV. There is 24-hour reception, wireless internet in public areas and a left luggage office. There is no lift. Guests at this hotel get a 10 % discount at the Windsor Garden Restaurant. Right in the middle of it all in New York City!

eviter a tout prix never again this is not a hotel but a dormitory, the reception( if you can call this a reception...no chairs no table for the coming customers ,a guy sit behind a look like kitchen window..) is on the 1st floor ,no lift, we had to carry our luggages to the 2nd floor, our so call Delux room is a tiny room once you put your luggage down and you won`t be able to move ,the broken ceiling is bound to fall on your head, gees they nver check and repair their room, tiny dirty restroom . the worst thing is that our neighbour listen to their chinese music so lound ,and chatting loundly late at night ,they just don`t care about others clients , seems like these people live there and pay by month, so go anywhere but not here ,for the location you should be able to find better place ,in west village or east or west midtown, New York`s China town not alike other China towns in US or Canada ,here it is a dirty noisy and bad smell district i

excellent value for money, very good location and subway very far of the hotel. no windows in the room, very good because no noise of the street ( which is a big avenue, but very good for security at night ), but a little noisy inside the hotel...so just don't forget hear_plugs and the hotel is perfect !!! and private bathroom....and all commodities near the hotel....

Very central This hotel may not have been the most classy. But it was clean and functional for four women on a budget. The location was amazing. Walking distance to Soho, Chinatown,Greenwich Village, Little Italy and many other interesting neighbourhoods. The nightlife in those neighbourhoods was also fantastic and less touristy. We hardly had to take a subway or taxi unless we wanted to head to Times Square or the financial district. Free toothbrushes. Just be aware..they only give you one key (which can be left at the front desk if a larger group is coming back at different times)

Very basic, but several things did not work. It may need some renovations. Otherwise, very kind people.

Small but clean rooms, good enough for sleeping and life in New York is on the Street. 4 Subway Stations are available within a 5 minute walk.

My single room was very small (just enough room for the bed) but it was clean and fine for sleeping in. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
