I was on the 35th floor looking up the East River. It was (almost) worth the price of hotel just for that! Nice bed linens and a high quality bed. The hotel is right across the street from the UN so if that is on your agenda the location can't be beat. A few blocks walk from Grand Central station but in a relatively quiet area.

With a little research, this hotel is a pretty good value for NYC. The views are wonderful and the amenities are pretty good. Don't however rely on a refrigerator (Although if you empty the minbar you can keep some things cool!) and towels seem rationed.

Near the UN The Millenium Hotel at UN Plaza is a very convenient place to stay if you have business in the area south of midtown; it is an excellent alternative to the limited number of hotels in or near the Flatiron District.

Would return to this hotel again Went to Johns for breakfast every day (as did before in New York) 5 minute walk away. Excellent breakfast and although it was busy - there was six in our party and we always got tables quickly.
