The Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge is an excellent choice for your stay in NYC. The rooms are normal size (not the typically small NYC rooms you read about). The location is close (less than 1 block) to 3 subway stations that connect to all the subway lines. If you are looking for all the action to be right around the hotel this is not the location for you but if a short subway ride is ok then this is a great spot.

"Pleasantly surprised" is what my daughters and I said about our stay last year at The Brooklyn Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge. It is one of the most elegant hotels we have ever stayed in. From the friendly service at check in, to the yummy breakfast buffet we were not disappointed.

Will ABSOLUTELY stay again! Soho and the Village are easily accessable from the subway - just 1.5 blocks away from the hotel! Maybe a 7 minute ride from Jay St., Brooklyn to Spring St., Soho.

good hotel in an OK area the hotel itself is nice, and the staff super-friendly... however, i wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want to be in an area where you can walk around to get to a lot of stuff. the subway is right there, so you can get to manhattan or coney island easily... but food-wise you’re really limited. the only things around the hotel are fast food -- mcdonald’s, white castle, a couple of taco places -- no decent sit-down restaurants that i could find. and on sunday night, the only restaurant open in the area is in the hotel, so you’ll be eating in the hotel unless you want to take the subway or a cab somewhere else. Traveler's tip on local attractions check out the waterfall installation that’s on display for another few months under the NY bridges -- you can see 2 of them about a mile from the hotel. walk down to the little park that’s between the brooklyn and manhattan bridges (the concierge can show you on a map) for a great view of manhattan and the waterfalls.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The big problem is the lack of control the hotel has over their guests. They allow large groups of school children to stay here with little to no supervision. We were up all night with teenagers running up and down the halls screaming and laughing until we had to repeatedly call security to get them to settle down around 3am. When we asked to be moved to another floor, we were told that the entire hotel was full of these school groups so moving really wouldn't make it better. We just had to keep calling security. It really ruined our stay. We were tired each evening and couldn't get any rest. The hotel itself is great, but the guests were the problem. Also they have large banquet rooms which are being used all the time so there was constantly hundreds of people walking in/out that were not hotel guest, just rowdy people.

I would like to say that I have stayed at this hotel every years since 2006. I am from California, and usually stay there in the early fall. I love the people that work there, they all remember me by name, and are so warm and pleasant. I have stayed at other hotels in Manhattan, and would like to say that this beats them all. The rooms are so cozy, and nicely laid out. I will be staying there again in September 2008, and can't wait to get there. I truly do not mind paying the price for such a wonderful place to lay my head!!!

Impressived. The bed was very comfortable, per description. The location is also accessible by taxi. Could use friendlier Concierges, though.
