ideal for discovering Manhattan The hotel and its staff is friendly and nice, and takes good care of their guests.The hotel is located at the middle of Manhattan with walking distance to most attractions, we walked to Central Park, The Metropolitan, The United Nations, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and to a show on Broadway. The Merriott east Siode is also easy to reach from any New York Airport, with Super Shuttle or Taxi.We had a Deluxe room with two double beds, even so it was crowded with three persons. There was no heating in the bathroom floor, and the aircondition was nnot able to heat the room properly. it wolud also have been nice if such a nice hotel had a better restaurant, even with a lot of offers just outside the hotel it is sometimes nice just to have a meal" at home", and thei restaurant lacked both charm and nice food. Traveler's tip on local attractions Bring warm slippers and enjoy your stay!

Close to everything Good location. Within walking distance of many points of interest. Good service. Small lobby. Elevators a little slow. Staff very helpful

What a good surprise! We decided to go to New York to celebrate the 21th birthday of our son and also Christmas. We wanted to be in an confortable place and close to everything. The Marriott East Side gave us all that! We will go back, thats for sure hope others will enjoy our positive experience! Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Maybe the Hotel could manage to have some double bedrooms, is a must for a Hotel like Marriott

Can’t wait to go back The marriott east was a very nice hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean - not very big but comfortable. Only downside was the street noise but was tolerable.
