The Marriott E.S. is very conveniently located. Our room was spotless, the beds absolutely fantastic! The concierge (James) is very knowledgeable and efficient. The Shelton Grille offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast($25 all incl.)with great choices. The bar-cafe in the lobby is open at 6 am. The lobby would benefit from new furniture. We would go again and recommend this hotel to our friends.

The Marriott Eastside in Midtown is a great hotel to stay at when you're in the city. I stay here all the time for both business and personal trips.

The Marriott East Side is located in central Manhattan, so you expect a high nightly rate. However, the price is higher than other nearby hotels, so do some research.

Good location - busy at New Year Rooms not ready when we arrived at 3pm, only one of two ready at 5pm... Once we were finally in our rooms, all was fine. The location is good for Midtown. Staff were fairly helpful and not intrusive. Annonymous hotel but perfectly good as a base for a visit.

We stayed in this hotel in April 2005. The service and staff were excellent and very knowledgable about the city. I actually prefered this hotel over the Marriott Times Square, because the rooms are much quieter (not as much noise here as in Times Square). It is still within walking distance/subway ride to everything you would want to see.
