We loved the LaQuinta. We stayed a week this past April. The staff was great, and always willing to help. I understand that not all rooms have been renovated and those particular rooms are smaller that those that have been. We stayed on the 9th floor, and our room was no smaller than any other hotel we've stayed at. We had plenty of room. The location was awesome..could walk almost anywhere. Nice continental breakfast, and free web. We are already planning another trip this November. Thought of staying someplace else this time for variety..but there is no need. LaQuinta had everything we need for a great price!

Pros: Within walking distance to any train you might want to get on - convenient location. The price was good for Manhattan, especially last minute. Luggage storage was great for being on the go before/ after check-in & check-out, although it takes a minute to get the bellman's attention. Roof-top bar is slightly cheesy but a great place to unwind and regroup before your next adventure out. Room was small (but, hey, it's New York - and cheap) but in decent condition and I was only there to sleep which it did fine for. Cons: Front desk - I've had nicer & more courteous in other hotels. The room in general didn't have as many (or any, really) amenities as other hotels I've stayed in, but the last minute price made up for it.

Nice mid-range hotel in central location. Rooms are clean and comfortable and internet is free. Lobby is modern and appears to have been renovated in the last few years. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is not stiff at all - would be good

Besides the room walls being paper thin and hearing the neighbors all night...we had a late night visitor in our room....A MOUSE!!!!!! After numerous times of trying to locate the rodent, to no avail, we finally trudged downstairs after only 2 hours sleep and promptly told the front desk. Upon telling them, they did not seem at all surprised about the finding and offered only a small discount off of our room, just for that night. I dared to think that mouse had been in and out of our suitcases over the past couple of nights, giving way to germs and nastiness, and all we were given was a measely discount with no real apology. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless they want a NYC mouse as a gift from the hotel.

+ The air-conditioning worked well. having breakfast included is very convenient - The rooms were very small and not sound-proof. we could here people slamming doors all night. the elevators were extremely slow. some of the front-desk staff were rude and not very helpful. there are better hotels closer to times square for about the same price. be warned...taxes are not included in the quoted price from this website - even when it says they are!!!

I STAY IN THIS HOTEL BECAUSE MAJORITY OF THE ONES IN THE SAME AREA WAS BOOK UP. I WAS KIND OF IMPRESS, THE LOCATION WAS GOOD AND THE MAID SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. IT WAS CLEAN BUT THE HALL WAYS WERE OLD FASHION.

After reading reviews of this hotel, I was a little worried about our stay, but we had an unbelievable deal, so we weren't going to change anything. For the most part it is a regular LaQuinta hotel. Kinda if you have stayed at one, you have stayed at all. The room was smaller than most LaQuinta rooms, but compared to the other hotels I have been to in Manhattan, it was a pretty good size room. The basement where the computer room, vending machines, workout room, etc. was very clean as well and it is very nice to have internet access, including a printer, at your disposal. The breakfast was no better or worse than any other continental breakfasts. They also have a storage room to store luggage in if you are checking in or checking out, so you can still sight see without having to woory about dragging you luggage around, this was a really nice perk. Yes, it is in Little Korea, but there is also a Radisson, a Red Roof Inn, and another pretty nice hotel all on this street. Also, the Korean shops are pretty upscale and most of the people going up and down this street were business people. You are about 2 minutes from Macy's and real close to a subway station.
