Location. The Hotel Metro stands in Midtown Manhattan, surrounded by the Garment District in New York, N.Y. This hotel's rooftop terrace offers views of the Empire State Building, which is one block away. Macy's is within one block of the hotel, while Madison Square Garden and Pennsylvania Station are three blocks away. Hotel Features. The Hotel Metro's Art Deco lobby is enhanced with black and white photographs of actors from Hollywood's Golden Era. The independently operated hotel opened in 1901, but has been updated to include modern amenities, including complimentary Internet access. Tea and coffee are offered in the guest lounge, and complimentary continental breakfasts are served daily. The guest lounge features a seating area, library and plasma television. On the Mezzanine level, the hotel houses a business center with printing capabilities, a computer station and a small meeting room.     Fantastic location, clean & friendly, high recommended! Hotel Metro was a perfect location - close to the shops, fantastic view of the Empire State building from the roof terrace! Staff were very friendly, great continental breakfast, rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels daily. This was our first time in New York and we would definately stay at the Hotel Metro next time we come. Excellent value for money!

    2nd visit to Hotel Metro, will be definitely be returning!! The Empire State Building is a popular choice for panoramic views of the city but also try 'Top of the Rock', the observation deck at the top of the Rockerfeller Centre, 69 floors up!

    Very Impressed This was a mother & daughter weekend. The hotel is centrally located to major attractions. The helpful staff was great. The continental breakfast was a great start to our day. The virual tour did the room justice. Will definately go back again.

    Good place and good location The elevators need to be improved-too slow and also the computers at the business center are very slow.Otherwise, it was GREAT!!

    Small but nice Brendans (could be spelled wrong) across the street is an awesome place to grab a bite to eat or have a few drinks.
