staff were very unhelpful and were obviously annoyed when they had to deal with guests, rooms were shabby curtains would not close, no privacy. Towels were only fit for the bin or dusters. Location of hotel was awful was nearer 10th avenue than 9th avenue. Not enough seats in the lobby. would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy and would never go back.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn for two nights when going to see a Broadway show. One of the people I was going to see the show with had never been to NYC before, and wanted to see the sites.

This place is great! It's in walking distance of Central Park, with quite a few shops along the way to Columbia Circle.

We arrived at 10 AM and were allowed to register and go to our room. Staff was great. Only problem was at the bar one night when we ordered two drinks and were given top shelve vodka. Cost of the drinks were $21, which we refused. Two drinks of bar stock cost us $16.

The hotel has a good location for restaurants and Broadway shows. It is an old hotel, but I got a good sized room. The only negative was that there was no hook on the bathroom door to hang a robe or a towel. Do not expect luxury, but it is reasonably priced for New York City.

The check-in clerk (female) was rude and unwelcoming. Our room was terrible - with scuffed furniture, uncomfortable beds, dirty carpet, dirty and torn curtains, broken lampshade and a bathroom that was just miserable in size and convenience. The bedroom ceiling was stained with damp from the floor above and we had to go up two floors to get ice. I will never stay there again.

I loved it. This hotel is close to the subway, close to central park. The room was very spacious and clean and staff was very friendly.I am actually going to use their reception hall (ball room) for my wedding next year because it is a gorgeous place.
