My husband and I along with my children and their families stayed at this wonderful little gem the weekend of June 20th, 2009. We had three rooms, all of them slightly different, but all equally satisfactory.

The Chelsea Holiday Inn Express was such a fabulous find! We were very happy to find that it offered much. The staff was exceedingly nice and helpful, the free breakfast was absolutely amazing, the rooms were clean and large, and the entire place had a great feel. Everyone was friendly and accomodating, and we cannot wait to go back!

Room is a bit tiny. Location is good, easy to take the subway or walk to madison square. However, the greatest things are they provide really good breakfast, cookies and drink in the afternoon, computer & printer for free.

I was pleased with the hotel overall. Our room was very clean and comfortable although small. We were well supplied with most items although we did have to ask for some. But when we did it was there very soon thereafter. Housekeeping was quite late one day when the hotel was completely full. We declined as we spent little time in the room and were fine with our status. The continental breakfast was outstanding. The best I have ever had. Every day it was a bit different and was always fresh, hot, and everything was very clean.Plus it was served until 11 a.m. so if one was inclined to sleep in a bit, one could still get breakfast. We were pleased with the location, right off 7th Ave. so one had access to many things to see. A great place to begin a walking tour of New York. Which we did. All in all I would give the establishment a big "thumbs up!"

The price I paid ($135, paid in advance) was competitive. TV included a few channels free of advertizement (HBO, HBO-2). Small desk. Chair too low, impossible to set high enough. Internet connection relatively slow (OK for Web surfing and email, not for viewing videos on Youtube...). Breakfast crowded.

Room was small but very clean. Breakfeast was great but the fitness room was was lmited to only 2 treadmills and 1 bike. Only complaint I have is the time it took to get into my room!!! I didn't expect to wait over 2 hours . Especially being extremely tired after flying and getting a shuttle to the hotel. Other people arrived and were sent directly to thier rooms. I compalined again. Then finally I got my room..

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant. Just wish it was closer to theatre district. I would recommend it to friends.

WHEN WE CAME TO THE PLACE THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY HELPFUL...MY PROBLEM IS THAT THE VENDING MACHINE...THERE WAS ONLY ONE AND IT WAS OUT OF ORDER...A SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO ADD A RESTAURANT & BE ABLE TO BUY DISCOUNTED TICKETS FOR BROADWAY SHOWS, MOVIES, & ETC. WITH THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR THESE HOTELS...

We were very disappointed that the roomwas so small. You could barely walk between the beds and the TV. We had to call three times for 2 days to get washclothes. They never left enough towels. The coffee pot did not work and there was no coffee the first day we were there. We will not stay at this hotel again!!!!!!

this hotel is in a perfect location to walk to just about any destination in uptown New York, and if you cant walk to your destination, the subway is very near. There are also lots of taxis available. Staff is very pleaant and helpful room was comforgtable, tho small. breakfast buffet was good but there were no lunch or dinner options. i would definitely stay here again, altho the cost is expensive....all hotels are in nyc. loved our stay
