I loved the Hampton Inn, the staff were great and the other guests were very nice. I loved the breakfast room. Although my fmaily and I wish they did dinners as well. The rooms were small for the 4 of us. I loved the locations, Starbucks just 2 minutes away, Macy's, Old Navy, H&M, etc. right around the corner. I must say it was a great experience, and the hotel staff made that happen!

We arrived in the evening and we pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day and the fact that they held our bags for the day while we out was very helpful.

Hampton Inn in Herald Square is a small clean relatively inexpensive hotel that does not have many amenities. In terms of price to comfort ratio it's one of the better ones in New York.

when we first arrived our room that was to have a king size bed did not. we were told our king size bed was given to someone off the street that wanted a room, however we had made our reservations months in advance securing that room and bed but it ws given to someone only hours before we arrived. our toilet was not flushing properly and at times it did not flush at all. our drain in the bathroom sink was broken the sink would fill up with water but the release mechanism was broken. there was only one ice machine that was working and servicing nineteen floors. we had to either climb the stairs up or go down. we went in for breakfast the first morning and the first thing i wanted was orange juice. well we know the color of orange juice this was the color of dirty faded water that was totally tasteless. last but not not least my daughter left behind a very expensive pair of shoes that we had noticed upon arrival home at which time i phoned the hotel and was very rudely switched to housekeeping where i upon received their voice mail and have never received a phone call back as to why i phoned or to at least acknowledge my call. i found the receptionis who answered the phone on jan15, 2008 @9:00am to be very rude not helpfull and very dismissive. shall i return to this hotel again i 'd rather sleep on the street. as far as the shoes are concerned it is not over yet

The hotel was very clean. The rooms were very small for a family of 4 but the bathroom was a nice size. The location was great for broadway and shopping. The breakfeast was more than expected!
