Excellent hotel for a quick stopover at JFK. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Will stay there again in the future. Only draw back, no safe in room.

Nice Hotel My husband and I were returning from a trip to Ireland and had a one night layover in NY. This hotel was convenient to JFK and quiet. It was clean with a nice continental breakfast bar. I would stay here again.

Good Hotel for stopover We stayed here the night before our early departure from the airport. It was a very comfortable hotel, and the shuttle worked out very well. I think to stay here and commute to New York would be expensive / time consuming.

Midwestern point of view Our experience at the Hampton Inn- JFK was generally favorable. We decided to stay there and commute to Manhattan Midtown via subway to avoid paying $350-$500/night to stay in Manhattan. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the Federal Circle terminal at JFK and from there you take the Airtrain ($5.00) to the A-Train subway($2.00)versus $45-60 one-way for a cab. We found the daytime shift at the Hampton very friendly and helpful but the night shift was hard to reach and bordering on rude when calling for a late-night shuttle pick-up when returning from Manhattan or stopping by the front desk-if you could get her to come out from behind the wall. (i.e when asked if anyone turned in an umbrella my wife left on the shuttle bus, the clerk said "no" and she didn’t even look)The free breakfasts were fine although they do not have adequate seating for the number of guests. They should add some 2-seat tables so singles don’t have to take up a 4-seat table (making larger parties wait). Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks The hotel runs a free shuttle to the Federal Circle terminal at JFK and from there you take the Airtrain ($5.00) to the A-Train subway ($2.00)versus $45-60 for a cab. The Free shuttle makes it’s last pick-up at 1:30 a.m. so make sure you allow enough time to get back if you’re in Manhattan taking public transportation (subway).
