It worked for me. The Hotels uptown location made it the right choice for me. It was quite and the room was clean.

We just returned yesterday from a four day trip to NYC. We stayed at the Gracie Inn. Our stay there was extremely positive.

I go to the city a few times a year. I have stayed in everything from 1 to 5 stars. The Gracie Inn exceed my expectations as a budget priced Bed & Breakfast in Manhattan. It's country theme and coziness made it a great place to come home to at the end of a hectic city day. Quiet, cozy, an attentive staff that actually gave me great info on where to eat, and what was happening and where to go! Love it and the staff! Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet & cozy place to rest, and that's all you need a room to do when you are filling your days with a hectic city pace. The breakfast was a great touch also, they actually asked me what I wanted, instead of just giving me what they had! I don't think you can find that anywhere in the city! I never got that treatment, even at the Four Season's.

served the purpose (1 night stay) I phoned the hotel twice early in the day before checking in to get information...left a message...they never called back...when we came to check in...no one there...only a phone number ..when we called ...they told us to find the key under an outside air conditioner. The TV didn’t work but no one to ask for help. Next AM had to shout down into the basement for continental breakfast...they did bring it to our room and it was fine. The facility and services did NOT match the website’s description.

location was great, but the room was not clean, and we were suppose to have a second bed, but we only had a very uncomfortable small couch. the kitchenette was dirty, crumbs, and food on the sponge and in the sink.

Good Value The room was clean. The hotel itself is old but the rooms were large enough for comfort and the rates make it a good value.Desk clerk was accomodating.

Charming small hotel. Small rooms, but we like the kitchenettes.

Cheap room, extremely helpful staff on the Upper East Side. Rooms are small and have cooking facilities--the hotel is mostly intended for longer stays although we stayed one night and were very happy. Might be adapted from an apartment building. We found the room very comfortable and very good value for the location, especially since breakfast in bed is included! We should mention that the service from the staff was far above and beyond what was required. One of our bags arrived several days late from the airline and the Inn kept our bag at the front desk until we came back to NYC to get it.

Sweet little place close to the Metropolitan Museum The Gracie Inn is run on a minimalistic basis, but things work and it was very reasonably priced by NYC standards. So, if you just want a bed in Manhattan and have no other needs, this place is perfect.

I really like the kitchenettes as this hotel is right next to the best grocery store in New York City... Agate Valentina. However, their breakfast in bed is very nice, too! This is a great hotel if you want to get away from all of the tourist
