Visited the Flatotel for business this past December and Surprisingly (being used to Sheraton and Hilton located) I found this hotel to be not just a bargain but a revelation. Where was it all these years when I was paying $500 a night at these other places? My room was 1203, a comfortable King bed with a nice view of the city scape. Did not have to pay for internet. Staff was inconsistent in greetings (not many smiles) but Kendrick at the desk was damn helpful. Will definitely return this February. Clean room, great location-- GREAT VALUE!

Just stayed for one night. The room was really large for nyc. We must have gotten a renovated room, b/c the bathroom (which was huge) looked brand new. Very nice modern feel to the room as well.

Conveniently located, small rooms Flatotel is convenient to most New York tourist attractions. Times Square, Rockefellar Plaza, Radio City Music Hall and most major theaters a short walk.

I loved this hotel. It was awesome, but I do agree with the other reviews, the staff do seem to not have a clue about anything. Other than that, we had a great time.

Fabulous Location Europa Cafe across the road is great for breakfast if you don't mind plastic cutlery and Ted's Montana Grill on West 51st is well worth a visit.

My friend and I stayed for only one night at the Flatotel and I thought for the price I was paying I was going to get a really small room. But surprisingly the room was a fair size and had a great bathroom. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly especially when our airport shuttle didnt arrive the day that we were supposed to leave. The front door guys handled the problem and even talked to the shuttle company from their own cell phones. I would defently stay there again.

We chose this place because of the location which IS fabulous and because I thought it would be way nicer than it was for the money. I thought it very expensive compared to others like it plus the amenities were very lacking. I liked the fact that it had a kitchen but it was too small to do anything but make coffee. The living room was strange because one of the two bedrooms was cut out of it by means of a glass wall. That room had no closet and the bath was across the living room. and was not the full bath we were promised. The furniture in the living room was falling apart and miserably uncomfortable. The decor- there was none.
