We stayed June 5-9, 2007. The hotel has a perfect location. You are 1 block away from Grand Central station and the subways. We stayed in the junior suite. It was very nice. The bathroom was large with a big tub and there's a tv in there that you can watch while you take a bath. The huge bed is very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great! The Wheeltapper was okay, the food wasn't that great and the hotel elevators are small. All-in-all it was a great hotel though. We had no problems.

Upon checking in-we were told by the assistant manager that our prepaid room was not available, because New York State Law requires the hotel to accommodate guests who wish to stay on at the expense of newly arrived guests- a law I personally doubt exists. We were then given the penthouse suite room 1001. While it may a nice room-it is located right next to the elevator engine which could be heard all night long. Guests in the other penthouse said they also did not sleep because of the noise from the elevator engine. Staff at the hotel ranged from pleasant to hostile during our stay- but seemed surprised, confused, and uncaring-that a hotel guest should expect a sound night's sleep. We were then moved from room to room to room-and each time we talked to someone we were given a completely different story about which room we were to occupy and what the cost would be. At one point my traveling partner and I got into a fight because we each had been given different (but conflicting)information about our situation. Rooms ending in X05 and X15 (such as 415 or 605) do not have the elevator noise problem and rooms ending in X04, X03, and X14 are probably far enough from the elevator to offer a good night's sleep. But guests in rooms ending in X11 or any other digit, as well as each of the two penthouses, are probably going to be disappointed with the amount of elevator noise and the resulting lack of sleep. While the location is nice- the stress, uncertainty and hostility are not worth it.

The room was small, but lovely. They have very comfortable beds -- probably the most comfortable of all hotels I've been to. The staff was friendly and efficient; check-in and check-out was quick.

This was my first time at the hotel, and it was surprisingly convenient to Grand Central (less than a block away), as well as to downtown (two stops to City Hall Plaza on the express Lex Ave. line). Room was decent and the lobby and bars/ restaurants were quite nice.

The location was great, right next to Grand Central Terminal, which has shops, food, and markets. It was near Starbucks, McDonalds and pizza. It is close to subways with access to the S train that takes you to a hub at Times Square. It is a great location. I stayed one night and was close to everything, Central Park, midtown and the subway. It had a great bed!

This was a very easy hotel to stay at - free wireless would have been the only thing i would have preferred, but i had no trouble getting online. The room was comfortable for one person - but larger than some i've been in the city. The staff was helpful and speedy. The location right next to Grand Central is very convenient.

The room was very nice. But I had trouble getting into the room - the battery on the door to allow entry with a pass card was not working. It took a while for the staff to open the room.

Extremely disappointing. Blood stain on the shower curtain. Hugh dark stain in the carpet in middle of floor. Sour milk and rotten fruit from previous tennant left in fridge. Rude arrogant check in staff. Bar prices 25% more expensive than other bars in the locallity. Honeymoon trip around the world and out of 4 hotels this was the most expensive with the worst facilities and staff we encountered. DONT STAY HERE.
