We were a party of 7 and had 3 rooms during the Christmas Holiday. The rooms were just ok and we did not get housekeeping service to clean our rooms (the front desk said it was due to the transit strike and workers could not get into the city. Location was ideal for tourist things to do. The restaurant was terrible! We had to send 2 entree's back as the waiter did not get it right and it took forever to come out of the kitchen. The Broccoli soup was very waterery - no taste. We complained at the front desk and they didn't even take the restaurant tab of over $130.00 off our room charge. Most hotels will do this. We won't go back. I don't reccommend this hotel.

The hotel stay was quite comfortable. However when we got there there was no valet parking and they did not have their own parking garage. My husband had to find his own parking and that was doable, but a little uncomfortable for us. And I think that it was probably a little more expensive because of that too. And our sink did not drain when we arrived but the custodian was prompt to fix it. Our stay was overall pleasant , the parking was the worst part.

We stayed in june for 3 nights. We were very lucky as we arrived early in the morning after a long trip and we got an early check in without any problem. Our first room was in the 4th floor in front of police station. We asked the front desk for a change and got it inmediately. Our next room has a little problem with the AC and inmediately they gave us an upgrade of room.

The Doubletree was perfect for our one night stay in NYC. It was a short walk to rockefeller plaza and other attractions. The room was very comfortable and the staff was knowledgable. The fresh baked cookie on check-in was a very pleasant surprise!

Good points: best clock radio I've ever seen in a hotel room and of course the free cookie.

The Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel was well located, check-in was simple, the room was just right for our one-night stay. The beds were very comfortable with good quality linens, it was quiet even though we could look out on the street, and most importantly, it smelled clean. Also, although the hotel is small, it has its own pharmacy, dining room and lounge, a plus for those wanting to take advantage of staying on site.

Wel done. Seamless. Easy in and out. Pleasant staff.Comfy bed, Traveler's tip for business travelers Subway station next door. And a late night mediterranean truck outside. Chicken over rice saved the day (night).

Not a true DoubleTree Hotel. Jr Suites are not resonable... no door to the sink area of Bathroom...... Not clean looking. Cable selection is bad, remotes don't work. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Affinity down the block.

+Staff is very friendly and helpful, cookies at the guest desk are delicious, and we've got a complementary breakfast coupons for being patient during checking-in. Location is perfect! -Pillows are not comfortable, but bed is good, conditioner is pretty noisy.
